Priti Patel thinks she is Norman Tebbit. Any chance of her becoming PM?

Don't agree, it would be like the euros then with Brazil n Argentina thrown in for good measure.  Memories that teams such as Cameroon, Ghana, Costa Rica and South Korea have provided have been fantastic.

I agree with that but throwing in teams even further down the rankings will lead to more one sided games that won't really help the tournament.

That was a massive result for Man Uniteds season. Knock out champions league where anything can happen and things could look a whole lot differently in February. Importantly it means they also avoid Thursday night Europa League football.

Would they have got the same result under Solakjaer? The way things had slid Iím not sure they would have which is a part indictment on the players too. I donít think anyone believes Carrick is the answer long term but if they get a decent result against Chelsea on Sunday he could well be in the managers chair for a bit longer yet.

I do.

Carrick for the permanent job. He has transformed United in one game.

The Texans beat the number one seeded Titans in Tennessee in the upset of the year in the AFC.

The Vikings beat Aaron Rodgers and the Packers 34-31 in a thriller in Minnesota.

53-7 to Ireland over Argentina. 53 points on the bounce after Argentina scored first. That doesn't tell the whole story as Argentina butchered a number of scoring opportunities in between.

Still Irelands results and performances two years out from a world cup are better than they were this time 4 years ago. Now the trick is to bring our top performance at the world cup like The teams we just beat Argentina, Japan and New Zealand have managed.

Whatever decision they make I hope they don't make it based on games that didn't count. I am happy with the win tonight and results are improving but Kenny still has to prove himself in games that count. The nations league should be used to determine if Kenny continues in the job.

Enjoy the occasion. New Zealand are never easily beat and if it wasn't for O Mahonys turnover at the end the result could have gone the other way. It wasn't vintage New Zealand but Ireland were at the top of their game and deserved the result.

Did the New Zealand sub hooker call Sexton a mouthy c*** to the ref?

Who hires the managers at Man Utd?  They need to be replaced whoever they are.
Ed Woodward hired Moyes,LVG, Mourinho and Solskjaer. He's stepping down from that position and another business man buddy Richard Arnold is expected to replace him.

I imagine they are waiting for Arnold to take over before appointing a new manager.

Rodgers has gone down in my estimation because of the latest covid non vaccination/immunisation controversy. I spend time on a minnesota Vikings fan message board and they never liked Rodgers and are always putting him down as a character or player. I assumed this was because he was the rival Green Bay Packers quarterback and he wasn't really all that bad and a top player. After this latest controversy I am beginning to think Rodgers is the lousy character some diehard viking fans claim he is.
