Interesting. Guarantees at least 3 non-Premiership teams in the last 8, with Sheff U and Preston offering a decent chance of making it 4 or 5.

Mind you, the eventual winner is still v.likely to be from the Big Four.  :(

QuoteManchester United v Arsenal

Pick of the round in name only, Ferguson will pick Hargreaves and Anderson to stifle Arsenal's flowing football while Wenger will only play one up front and 5 in midfield. This will be a borefest....

Pompey wouldn't be a bad bet for the FA cup now.

United or Arsenal will be gone, and Liverpool are not exactly frightening anyone at the moment.

Quotelike the game last month?

The game at the start of November? That was a poor game saved by some excitement in the last 10 minutes....

Think back to the last time they met in the FA Cup the 2005 final 0-0 and The Goons win on penalties in a truly brutal performance, unfortuantely the fear of losing and giving the other team the edge in the Premiership race will ruin this as a spectacle. For it to be a any good Arsenal will need to score first and bring Man U out.....

Na, Arsenal aren't capable of sitting back and defending a one goal lead whereas Man U are very capable of scoring one and squeezing the life out of the game. Look at how man 1-Os they have, George Graham would be proud.....

Yeah, but if united score first, Arsenal will have to come at them even more, and then it'll open out as United hit them on the break.

A fair few 4-0's, 4-1's and even a 6-0 too though. George wouldn't know too much about that end of things. Being able to defend isn't a crime, especially when you're the top scoring team in the league!

Where did I say it was a crime  ::) Jesus some people are precious, eight 1-0s this season already, which is pretty damn good and will probably be the difference in winning the premiership and not and just for the record when Arsenal won the title in 89 they were the top goal scorers and in 91 they were second highest goal scorers so the GG comment was purely tongue in cheek.
