They do very high quality fakes of soccer shirts for about 15 quid including delivery - with names, numbers and sleeve badges attached

Anyone ever ordered from this site?

Saw a thread about it over on F365 - and their stuff looks really good.

QuoteA yacht with 1.5 tonnes of cocaine on board was seized off the south-west coast today after authorities swooped on an international drugs trafficking ring.

Three men, believed to be European, were detained on the vessel, thought to be en route from the Caribbean with an illicit cargo worth hundreds of millions of euro.

The boat was being brought to shore in west Cork under armed guard after navy, customs and gardaí swooped in international waters.

The massive seizure compares to Ireland's largest ever drugs haul – 1.5 tonnes and valued at €440m – recovered last summer off the Cork coast after traffickers' boats capsized during a storm.

It is understood the Irish Navy brought three men to shore today where they were arrested.

The operation was based on intelligence from the Lisbon-based Maritime Analysis and Operations Centre set up to tackle drugs shipments across the Atlantic, mainly high grade cocaine, from South and Latin America.

Smugglers have also been using west Africa as a staging post before shipping to Europe.

Navy, gardaí and customs launched a joint operation targeting the trafficking gang earlier this week with the drugs bust lined up for several days.

Justice Minister Dermot Ahern said: "It is very important that Ireland plays its role in the work of the Lisbon centre.

"This bureau leads the fights against those trafficking cocaine into Europe and consequently into Ireland."

Absolutely unreal - a film that finally matches up to all the hype.

Heath Ledger was simply brilliant as the Joker.

Don't download a shitty copy to watch on your computer - it deserves to be seen on the big screen.

QuoteThe history of Gaelic games in Canada, before the founding of the Gaelic Athletic Association in Ireland in 1884 and in the years since, proves a determination by Irish immigrants who have arrived in numerous provinces of Canada. Through their dedication the flag of Irish sports has flown strong, and will continue to fly in the years to come.

The sporting traditions include the oldest European field game of hurling-a masterful art and the fastest game in the world-in which players use an ash wood stick and a hard ball. Many argue with some conviction, and no small amount of fact to support their case, that Canada's national sport, ice hockey, has its origins in hurling. The word puck is derived from the Irish word poc, which is the action of striking the ball with a hurley.

In 1845, the civic fathers of Quebec City banned the playing of hurling in their narrow streets, while in St. John's, Newfoundland, hurling was being played as early as 1788 at the "Barrens" of the city. The ladies' version of hurling, Camogie, has had its presence on occasion in some Canadian communities. The skilful play of Gaelic Football, which has dominated the sporting scene across the country in many Canadian cities, continues to be the greatest strength in modern times. Along with two other Irish sports of handball and rounders, many wonderful memories for the Canadian-Irish community are celebrated in this book that captures an exciting facet of Irish culture.

Currently working my way through the complete box-set of the show - great stuff - although it did tail off a bit towards the end

Truly the best Sci-Fi series that was ever made in my opinion - way better than LOST  ;D .

And there's a new film coming out in July

I know I'm a bit early – but does anyone know the dates for Congress in 2009.

Searching on the GAA website didn't help me much.

Planning our clubs 50th Anniversary for April / May 2009 – and we'll be inviting the President over for it – jut need to make sure it's after Congress.

Thanks

General discussion / The 2008 US Election thread

Probably going to be a big story all year - so let's try keeping it to one thread

Iowa caucuses are happening tonight

CNN are reporting Mike Huckabee has won the Republican caucus with 31% of the vote. Trailing him are Milt Romney (23%), Fred Thompson (13%), John McCain (12%) and Rudy Giuliani with 11%.

On the Democratic side, early results show Barack Obama with a narrow lead over rivals Hillary Clinton and John Edwards.

With 69 percent of precincts reporting, Obama had the support of 35 percent of voters, compared to 31percent each for Edwards and Clinton.

QuotePeter Jackson, Oscar-winning director of the Lord of the Rings movies, has signed a deal to produce two films based on JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit.

The filmmaker had been in dispute with New Line Cinema over income generated by the first film in the Rings trilogy.

"I'm very pleased that we've been able to put our differences behind us," said Jackson. "We are delighted to continue our journey through Middle Earth."

A director for the films - prequels to the Rings movies - has yet to be named.

The two Hobbit films will be filmed simultaneously, with their release planned for 2010 and 2011.

Sir Ian McKellen has already expressed an interest in reprising his role as the wizard Gandalf.

In a statement, Jackson said the agreement enabled his Wingnut Films company to "begin a new chapter with our old friends at New Line".

The three films in the Rings trilogy generated $3bn (£1.48bn) at the worldwide box office and won 17 Oscars.

New Line co-chairman Bob Shaye had previously said Jackson would never make The Hobbit "during my watch".
