GAA done OK out of the last tranche of Covid funding from the executive....

So the GAA actually had more approved than was requested?
Unusual

Just like American Football and Judo.
Likely a different calculation for the cost of a particular resource.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

£7 million in a process where you have to show actual lost. Saying we supposed to be amateur organisation that's alot of money to cut the grass like Royal County Down, or more likely to pay all senior team paid managers!!

the goal was on

Its a mini RHI by looks of it. Limited proper auditing. All you have to do is show lost profit apparently. Some differences in what clubs have recieved.

Was told to turn on Nolan - he reckons he is going to get to the bottom of all of this money given out.

GAA on his hitlist

Given that there are 180 clubs who this covers that is an average of £42k. Soccer has 77 clubs so the average breakdown is £85k, rugby is £83k and Golf is £145k!  If Nolan goes after the GAA in this then there is clearly a sectarian agenda in his coverage(which is obvious) and he needs to be challenged.

The funny thing is if you compare what was requested to what was granted the majority is near enough spot on give or take a few thousand. The only questionable one was the Cycling ones who looked £400k and got £14k!

He's going after Sinn Fein, Hargey and the Dept of Communities.

Royal County Down and the rest of the golf courses are getting it.

A caller challenging the amount Crusaders got, they're a full time club and they signed players during lockdown yet they picked up over 500k.

Just checked the GAA list 5 clubs pick up over £100k each.
Crossmaglen picked up two amounts for themselves and the ladies.

Belfast marathon ~117k. The marathon that refused to give anyone a refund. Yes one of the only marathons about to do that.

Clubs with a social club had to produce certified audited accounts as per rule. So they would have the highest overheads and loss/ profit in greatest  detail
