Have we any idea when they'll confirm times etc? Trying to plan a trip but don't want to confirm until this is announced...

Quote from: thejuice on March 02, 2024, 08:51:19 PMReally? Thought it was a good hard hitting game, lots of turnovers and both teams going for it. Shooting let both teams down a bit but kept it close and exciting. Either team could have won it at the end thought we had it when we hit the post.

Happy enough with a draw and if we can beat Cork next game who knows.

I thought it was a strange atmosphere in comparison to our previous games tbh. Meath should've put them out of sight really. Was disappointed to come away with only a point.

Quote from: trailer on March 03, 2024, 02:01:14 PMRow suited Kerry. Turned the game. Two Clifford's should be off the field. But that doesn't suit the GAA and they're protected by refs.

How the feck did you come to that conclusion?! Show me the part where either  did anything to actually warrant a red card there?

Over 92k last weekend, will this weekend exceed 70K?

God Id be fairly surprised if we didnt see more than 70,000 over the 4 games... Id imagine Sunday will be about 45000 at least....

Hard to call now. Had Mayo not been as destroyed as they were yesterday, obviously there wouldn't even be a thought about Meath being close to matching them. If the week continues as its started (Mayo are so poor, their goners, their done for etc) then I think Mayo may come out all guns blazing, with a big point to prove esp to their fans. Likewise Meath could go either way: We put up a good fight to Donegal and were thereabouts for most of the game. Nothing to lose, can only improve...Or, we gave it our all and still came up 9 points short at the end, let it go from us etc. As we know theres always a sort of edge to Meath/Mayo games and I dont think this will be any different. I expect pulling, dragging, cards and a decent battle from both! At least both of our goalies are in the same boat!

Good first half, but Rossies not close in reality. Anytime they threatened Tyrone we're into next gear. Every score matched.

Hey all Donegal people here, can anybody give us any suggestions, tips for tomorrow with parking pubs etc? Have to say I haven't been to a game there before! So obviously coming from the Meath side where is best to park, will it be bottle neck traffic wise or what kind of place is it for games? Cheers

Aidan o Mahoney reckons if the Kerry forwards clique they will go to town on Mayo , he also goes on to say "Kerry won't be bullied , mark my words". Has a bit of a pop at James Horan in a roundabout way saying how dare he say mayo could of won league final by ten points "

So it's Bow to the kingdom little old mayo

Aidan is probably over confident as during his playing days most encounters with Mayo, they were cannon fodder:
04, 05, 06, 11, 14

14 ! cannon fodder ? think You mean daylight robbery from a cheating basta Reilly . He cheated , I'll never believe any different . A disgusting individual

::) ::) oh lord

Just watching Clare Meath highlights tonight. Newman colliding with post looked nasty. Was he ok afterwards?
Yea it didn't look great but as far as we know he's good to go as thejuice said. Dead leg and head injury but all ok 🤞

What is the story with drawing in super 8s, since it seems to change all the time! Is it ten mins then 5 mins each half if still drawn then penalties?? Or is a Draw a draw? Point a piece

yea the week turnaround might be abit too much for our lads but there is no pressure on us whatsoever and thats why we could cause an upset or two. I think Donegal is the hardest opposition of the 3 but weve ran them close the last 2 meetings (esp the league up in Ballybofey, we let that go ourselves in the end). Mayo Im not sure of though we always seem to put up a huge game against them and Kerry at home could be a real shoot out battle..... just never know whats going to happen......

New Years Day might be a good option (though technically would be 01/01/2022!) give players SOME kind of Christmas time but then some training etc on the dull in between days of Christmas, plus no one does anything on that day...........
