To lead two different Counties to major finals and lose both to the same side? Down ulster final v Armagh in 99 and Fermanagh NFL final v Armagh tonight

You are losing the plot, Tony, NFL Div 3 is not a major final! I'd say McGrath hurt more in 1999  :)

It is a national final.He hasn't led a team to victory over Armagh since 1992!

Also the Down minor defeat by Armagh (over which he presided as well) in 2011 when Down were miles in front at one stage is also worthy of mention

No is the answer to T Fearon's question. Mick O'Dwyer would be another. AI final in 1976 and Leinster final in 2005, both defeated by Dublin, although neither as prestigious as an NFL Div 3 title.
