Kavan Keenan put in a serious shift, some really good power running, put himself about and really tried to drive forward at every opportunity.  Ryan McQuillan good as well,  exactly the type of corner forward that is needed,  lively,  evasive and looks like a score taker. Thought Paddy McAleer was going well until he went off,  must have been injured, lost their way around the middle for a while after that.  Conor Hand good game as well. Marc Jordan just puts in a shift every time I see him play.  Enjoyable game overall, plenty of scores. Look very vulnerable though at the back I feel, didn't win the break ball enough from their long kick outs and from that Tipp looked like really opening up the Antrim defence.  They really could have had another couple of goals themselves.  Tougher tests await but decent start

Small crowd at the game, know it was going to overlap with the ulster final so probably should have thrown in an hour earlier.

Quote from: Norm-Peterson on May 12, 2024, 09:25:54 PMI wonder did they ever manage to drag McBrearty off the stand, wittering on for a long time.
Cringey stuff from Niblock too chuckling every time McGuinness did a fist pump.

It wouldn't surprise me if Tyrone beat Donegal in 2 weeks. No great shakes.

Also that is a very posh voice of Thomas Kane for a South Derry person.

Anything negative to say matey?

It's just really a procession at this stage.  If Cargin went all out, they win the league.  They will cruise to another championship this year.  There is nobody stopping them.  We are watching Man City like dominance and its hard to know where it will end.

Quote from: Tyrone12345 on May 03, 2024, 11:58:56 AMJunior league starting this weekend. What are we thinking this year? Killeeshil very hard to look past, expecting a big year from them. In terms of dark horses, I'd be looking at drumquin and glenelly. Two good young sides with plenty of quality.

Eskra vs Killyman
CNG vs Augher
Strabane vs Derrytesk
Urney vs Killeeshil
Glenelly vs Brackaville
Aghaloo vs Tattyreagh
Donaghmore III vs Brocagh
Errigal III vs Drumquin

Full house

What was the accumulator odds on it?

Are St Galls back? 5 from 5. Best start in a long time surely?

Would only clash with soccer. Just have to make do.

GAA social with Frank McGuigan worth listening to.  What a legend, insightful, not afraid to speak the truth and on the money with a lot of things. An icon of Tyrone.

Quote from: square_ball on December 03, 2023, 10:45:35 AMMcKenna announces his retirement this morning and be very surprised if Conlan didn't follow suit at some stage.

Is there many Irish boxers that could fill a potential undercard for a Croke Park fight for Taylor?

Lewis Crocker?

Looked good last night,  bit of power behind him.  Undefeated as well

Stopped a bit early there I felt.  Thats Conlon done, not sure where he goes from here.  MCkenna in previous fight will be a decent journey man for up and coming fighters, Conlon doesn't have that luxury

How much would he make from tonight there?

Like McKenna in previous fight,  Conlon just doesnt have enough power at this elite level to put manners on his opponents. Very hard to see how he wins this.

Conlon entrance music absolute dung. You need something to hype the crowd up.

Mckenna just a human punching bag.  The East Belfast guy just way more powerful

Quote from: Eire90 on November 19, 2023, 12:54:58 AMIs there a lot of counties were league is not taking serious a seen as a warm up to championship

Whats the point of the leagues then if they are essentially glorified challenge matches?
