a thoroughly depressing read !
We'll be doing well to make a league final next year. 4 tough away games plus Kerry and the two promoted sides at home.
Cavan will probably be heavily favoured to go back down but the other spot could be anyone.

Cavan will be targeting that 1st game against Galway I think. Having won the last 2 times the teams met there is no fear there and I suppose we would hope that Galway will not be at their strongest at that time of the year.
Mayo must be favs for the second relegation spot Dublin in croker and Kerry in Killarney at the latter end of league ,home form is atrocious especially in the league.

Decent chance that we will be without the Corofin lads again unless someone can take them out in Connacht.

The great thing about this year was our early exit from the Championship. Players will be fresher and less hung over from an AI defeat.
Have to say I don't care about the League, in fact i don't care about Gaelic football at all at the moment. I probably will care once Christmas and the FBD League is over.
Looking forward more to Club under 10's and Community Games (gaelic under 10) next year. More fun!

Which is a shame as would like to see Molloy & Dylan Wall both get their chance during the league. Anyone heard anything on McDaid coming home?

Will be Roscommon and Cavan favourites for the drop but i think one of the two could stay up.
With the All Ireland being a waste of time and effort now for nearly all the Counties, there may be a less experimental side to the Leagues for many as it is now the only hope for them to have some success in the year.

Mixed set of fixtures for Armagh. Should win all 4 home games but could lose all 3 away games.

Its going to be a very tough division this year, I'd fancy ourselves to beat Meath, fermanagh, Armagh, cork, Clare...I know we won't win all these and conceivably we could lose them all. I'm sure all these counties will all feel they will beat each other. I still think Donegal are ahead of everyone and kildare just behind them.
Seems like the powers that be bottled it in terms of punishing counties who went on training camps.

Counties were supposed to lose home advantage for the first game of the league - first league game was supposed to be played at a neutral venue.

Donegal yes because they are a Division 1 team stuck in Division Two for one year. Kildare i'm not convinced about lost all Division one and super 8 games this year and they should not be hyped into something there are not.

Only provisional fixtures yet and if those sanctions were voted in at congress they have to carry through with them.

they did but you look that their results throughout and they were competitive throughout and lost narrowly in alot of games. i do rate them and think playing top level teams last year will really stand to them. im not saying its a foregone conclusion they'll go up but based on everyone else in division 2 they certainly have the best performances and form coming in
GAA must be having cash flow problems :D
Season ticket renewals for 2019 available from next Monday.

How come Dublin's provisional league fixtures for next year are all over the place tonight but I can't see anything for any other county ?

Fair enough I thought it applied to all, but I think we can agree that the Dubs gettting shafted 2 years running with 4 away games is a good thing.

So a new one, or some other new agreement, will be in place for 2020.

It seems like this is the first year of a bundle so I don't think so. But say next year, the promoted teams would fill in for one of the relegated teams.

Tough for Dublin again this year. Tyrone away again, 3 or 4 times in the last 2 years now.
From a Leinster dead duck perspective, and the words i thought i would never utter, its great to see Meath back in Division 1.
There is so much potential in Meath and Kildare.
Monaghan should have home games against Tyrone, Kerry & Mayo after playing all 3 away last year
Away to Dublin and Galway. Promoted Donegal is away according to Donegal fixtures and that leaves Meath which is probably at home seeing as we had 4 away games last year.
Both Meath and Donegal had 4 home games in 2019,
Is it the league 2 final winners who gain the right to grab the available 4 home game slot in Div 1?

As I hear it these aren't finalised yet, only draft.
Deciding on which games gets TV coverage is normally the only change from the draft fixtures.

Looks like a neutral ground. Unusual for a league game.
What's this about leaking schedules? Does the gaa not officially publish this on a certain date? If so anyone know when that date is?

I'd go with Donegal as they have published their fixtures on the Donegal democrat and are hardly going to print false info there. Maybe that Donegal v Dublin fixture has been switched to Croke Park since the first leak?
Sligoman2, the GAA officially published them last year (with dates and throw in times) at the end of November.

It's not really a leak - provisional schedules for the league are sent to all the county boards, to give the county board a chance to look and see if there is any issues for example moving some fixtures to allow double-headers with hurling and football. Then once the fixtures are confirmed, the official fixtures are relased to the public. Any of the fixtures released at the moment are only provisional and could be subject to change.
Mayo 2020 provisional fixtures
25th January Donegal (A)
1st February Dublin (H)
9th February Meath (A)
23rd February Monaghan (A)
29th February Kerry (H)
15th March Galway (A)
22nd March Tyrone (H)
Shouldn't league fixtures be out by now?
Told by a Laythrum man they're on the way.
He said their first game is away to Derry at 5pm on a,Saturday.
Have these fixtures been confirmed by now or not?

That's how it works when you stay in the same league. If you get relegated or promoted there's no guarantees.

Unlike most of you dicks I'll be at all cavans games this year. As I live in the west now every game is an away game for me.

And Donegal are not content with playing Monaghan just the once but they want both a home and away fixture, they'll probably lose both.
