Given that white, heterosexual males as a group have never been the subject of repression for being part of that group, it's hardly an endorsement of their endurance or stoicism that society doesn't concern itself with their non-existant persecution or victimhood. The only people you hear bleating about white, heterosexual males are those who are pissed off that their jokes or (worse) views on women or homosexuals or minorities have lately and correctly been deemed beyond the pale. If you don't want a HR case to deal with, then don't create one. I'm pretty sure you can manage to get through your workday without making off-colour jokes or remarks about gay people or minorities or wolf-whistling at the young one with the nice arse.

No doubt, there are some over-sensitive people out there.

But, which is worse?

That people have to mind their ps and qs, or that those who are women or minorities or not heterosexual have to suffer yet another casual put-down or expression of bigotry?

It's not even about white men or straight people anymore causing offence. The powers that be have controlled society so much that if you don't agree with the likes of abortion or not burning coal or driving cars to combat climate change you're abused left right and centre. Now they tell us we shouldn't talk sport in the workplace? f**k off!

Who is abusing you? Can you not defend your viewpoints?

Who are the powers that be? Is abortion now mandatory in Ireland? Has the sale of coal been banned? Is the entire country not still driving cars?

You can't have viewpoints anymore, if you do you offend someone, you can't have a political view, a religious view, a moral view, a view on climate change, you either conform to this nonsense being portrayed as society now or you are, as you put it a bigot in someway. The irony is the whole media campaign about mental awareness, where in reality it only appears to be for people who are in the minority as they are the only one ever suffer.  ::)

Who's persecuting you or giving you a hard time for your viewpoints?
Are you not able to present a good defense of them?
What gives you the idea that only minorities are recognized to suffer from legitimate mental health issues?

Agree 100% Benny. Lefties are into freedom of speech, just so long as its their own beliefs.

100%. This is now the world we live in and it's getting worse, modern snowflakism.

Who are the snowflakes here?

The ones who want respect for everyone and an end to even casual sexism or prejudice, or the ones who can't handle that their "beliefs " are being challenged after enjoying being the prevailing status quo, rightly or wrongly, since time immemorial.

The MOT centre debacle rolls on. Mine is due on 8th Feb. Anyone any idea when this will all be sorted out?!

You J70, you're getting very worked up and defensive. You must be the snowflake here.

That's pure horse shit too. There's f**k the much wrong with any photos I seen of those car lifts. If they'd work away until they got them fixed/replaced it wouldn't do anyone any harm.
