Their minor team was average the year. Meath & Kildare cubs aren't afraid of Dublin.

The likes of Brian Fenton, Bernard Brogan, Kevin McManamon and Fitzsimons never played minor football for Dublin.

Bernard Brogan is a bit of a Red Herring. As he was injured!

I bet most of those guys played Under 21? Under 21 (or under 20 now) is the grade you will get most players from.

Connolly be bck; and the very good no 11 from last yr minor team and this yrs u20 team will likely make the team too! Dublin although very good would need a midfielder to allow McCarthy to play center back and an out and out fullback would make this team unstoppable to them Kerry minor teams come off age!

Connolly won't be back, and they don't need him back.
Carlsberg don't do Gombeenocracies, but by jaysus if they did...

The first three played U21. Fitzsimons didn't he got picked for impressing on the Junior team in 2008. U21 was indeed the grade to get most players from but I'm not sure if U20 will be the grade to provide as many senior footballers.

Dublin will likely get the 5 such is their financial doping advantage.  Their decline  will be driven the fair-weather Dublin support who prefer to watch it in the pub than pay €85 for a ticket.

Kerry just won 5 minors in a row. Is there another juggernaut rumbling down the track in Dublin's wake in a few years.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Kerry will be the team to beat them; but not 2019 or 20! There challenge will come then! Some of the best dublin players are around the 30 mark

I don't think any amount of minor titles will set up Kerry to replace Dublin. Their average of one AI every three years has become one in the last nine seasons now - they are as far back from Dublin as anyone else in the chasing pack.

Dublin losing any more than two AIs over a ten year period would be remarkable under the current broken system.

2019 Odds to win the All Ireland

Dublin 1/2
Kerry 5/1
Tyrone 10/1
Mayo 14/1
Galway 14/1
Donegal 16/1
Monaghan 22/1
Kildare 66/1

The rest from 100/1 to 100/1

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Dublin fans travelled in droves to and were widely lauded for their support in both Portlaoise and Omagh this year.

I was there to witness in the Dub support in Omagh and congratulated their contribution to the atmosphere which was excellent.  The hard-core Dubs have always been there.  I don't however believe the Dubs fair weather support at Croker will be sustained beyond 5IAR if match tickets are €85.
