Quote from: tiempo on April 22, 2024, 04:29:27 PMWho are the outstanding 23-30 year olds not on the panel at the minute? We seem very light and shorn of mature lads who are fully developed, Paul Donaghy springs immediately to mind

Rory Brennan & Mark Bradley would both add alot to that squad. Shame really.

Just got the whatsapp of the incident in the swatragh kilrea game. Sickening.
Absolutely no place in our games for a head butt like that. Trampish thuggish behaviour.
I see no reason why the perpetrator should not be taken to court. He should also be given a lengthy ban by the GAA. There can be no justification for dropping your head into another mans head with that amount of force.

If Conn wasnt fit to play yesterday, youd have to doubt he will be available on Sunday? Was there any update on him after the game?

Id say it will be more of the same. McShane still looks some way off full fitness and might be better suited to coming off the bench.

Aidan Clarke was on the 26 yesterday & didnt get gametime... suprising.
Conal Devlin looks like he might be better suited to a role in the half back line. It looked like Cavan were trying to isolate him onto a big man as well, for the aerial route
Ben Cullen close to earning a start too.

Quote from: Armagh18 on April 20, 2024, 08:13:38 PMJust goes to show anyone can beat anyone on the day. Harte is a stubborn f**ker though so I'd put money on Lynch pushing up the next day too! Not many teams have the midfield to dominate Glass!

Derry are a class side, I've no agenda here... But Conor Glass is so overrated it's unreal..another shocker performance, he saves his shockers for when Derry are in a tight spot too

There's a bit of Kevin McManamon about Cormac Murphy. An ideal impact sub, pacey & direct. You know what he is going to do, but its still difficult to stop him.

Absolute shambles yesterday, i think we all expected to lose as it was a fairly nothing game for us, and some lads on the bench deserved minutes... but the manner of  the defeat is hard to stomach

In reality, Dublin have a resource pool so much greater than ours that they can deal with 7 or 8 established men missing so much better than we can.

I understand our management decided not to ask any player back onto the panel, whom had previously walked away. Hopefully they will find the humility to pick up the phone to the likes of Rory Brennan, Peter Teague, Mark Bradley. We need an injection of experience and quality now. The likes of Meyler, Burns etc will not get back up to the pace of the game between now and season end so we are simply too far stretched

The defending for some of the goals yesterday beggers belief. You would have to question whats going on in Garvaghy.

Wise up and get the blinkers off. He  changed his body posture to deliberately stamp on his opponent. Very lucky to only get a 2 match ban.
Take your oil and move on.

Had this been a Tyrone player there would have been a witch hunt all week, trial by social media, and a very very lengthy ban.

Rescinded on appeal

LOL your coach or assistant manager actually served 12 weeks for an almost identical incident when he stamped on Colm Parinsons back

Quote from: clarshack on March 22, 2024, 10:39:26 AMThat group of players kicked themselves out of the All-Ireland Minor Final in 2021 as well. Looks like it's something they really need to improve on.

Is Ruari McHugh injured?

Will the Omagh pitch be fit to hold the U20 game tomorrow night? surely there must be some consideration to switching venue

Thats really really poor worksmanship - there must be no quality checks at all. Ive seen this before with embroidered school kit, but not as prevalaent as that. As you say its an irritant, drives kids mad. Its not good enough, id push on at them. Tell them you are putting the images up on social media as well, might add some weight to your argument

Buying a football kit nowadays is expensive for parents, but special for kids. They need to understand their market - its important they get this right.
