Two mistakes from the keeper the difference.  No shame to be beat by that shower.  Ant sign of Ronaldo United tonight? imagine that madrid side if he played

To add to the misery, we have now lost as many champions league finals in the last 13 years as the bitters have won derbys... depressing but thought it needed to be highlighted
altogher now...allez, allez , allez  :D

Allez is right lad...although if it hadn't have been for...oh wait

Did trent let the ladyboy, Ronaldo United out of his pocket yet?

Weirdly tonight hammered home why Mourinho is such a successful manager.

Tactics, formations, shapes, flair, skill, endeavour. They all play a part. But when you've 11 of the best players in the world playing against 11 of the best players in the world, success ultimately boils down to tiny, minuscule margins. So as a manager it's about minimising the impact of chance; Lady Luck.

If your defence and goalkeeper are more or less flawless, that's enough to guarantee a draw. If you have one or two players capable of producing something that not even top level players can prevent, then you'll most likely win.

I hate Mourninho. He's vile.

But the unfortunate thing is that he's right.

Klopp is a much better human being and someone I much prefer. But keeping Karius on board this season meant that eventually the laws of averages would stack against him.

V quiet in here tonight.   Ukraine now central to a huge Merseyside dole fraud investigation apparently.... scousers moonlighting by claiming benefits in Liverpool while begging on the streets of Kiev to pay for the flight home.... ;D

It probably made sense in your head

Don't think he had much choice over the goalkeeper. If the person he wanted wasn't available he won't waist money on a second choice.  No doubt its a priority now.
Thought Lovren brilliant tonight by the way.  He has taken a lot of flack this season but there is a good player in there.

From the Bunker

What a great Journey and what a great team to watch at times this season! The fun and excitement that Klopp and co brought to the champions League was something to behold. Our luck ran out tonight! God knows we had Bucket loads of Luck to get to the final. Salah a huge loss tonight, but thems the breaks. Was looking forward to seeing him play with Egypt in the World Cup under a different system.

St Galls, I enjoy the discussions we have on here and I give and take as much as anyone, but this must be the most stupid, pointless,, irrelevant and pathetic post in the history of this board. Do you want to stand over this or do you want to admit that you were tired/emotional/stupid when you posted?

The champions league now is about who has the most money. Klopp is a great manager but he was not able to overcome that.

It also helps not being reliant on one player, and a manger who doesn't ignore glaring deficiencies in his squad for years.

Insane Bolt

Ronaldo man of the match surely😂
