Gutted with the result, United deserved to win that as we looked danergous everytime we went forward in that 2nd half. Tactically Jose got it spot on apart from Pogba again going to sleep again from a set piece. United concede far too many goals from set pieces given the size of the team. Martial was very wasteful in the 1st half, he got a lot of ball and did nothing with whilst Lukaku was poor for 90 mins although worked harder in the 2nd half. Martial & Mata came alight the 2nd half as did Pogba and United looked a real threat and the makings of a decent team is their. If only we had 2 centre halfs who could keep the ball would make a huge difference.

Was he right to go negative when United got ahead and were in the ascendancy? Attack is the best form of defence, a third goal would have sealed it. That's an alien concept to him though.

The subs weren't that negative, my only with the subs is that he didn't leave one sub until injury time and bring Bailly on for an attacking player as Chelsea were always going to go more direct.

United had plenty of opportunities to create chances at 2-1 but the final ball was poor on more than one occasion. Rashford & Martial both lasted until 85 minutes.

Yeah Maroon I'd agree with that, I thought United were the more likely at 2-1 but once it reached the later stages you back your defence to see it out. Is Mourinho culpable for the way they defended at the finish? I'd say not.

Said exactly the same to a colleague today. Utd of old would of went straight to trying for 3-1. Instead he just tries to close up shop at 2-1. You could see the goal coming too as Utd had their backs to the wall after the changes were made.  :-\

Would of taken a point at half time and maybe even before the game started but at the end it felt like a loss.

This isnt just United's problem. Liverpool this year seem content to try to hang onto a lead much more so than last year. City are the only team that really go for the jugular albeit it is often through lightning counter attacks when they are in front.

It was the thing I (grudgingly) admired most Ferguson's teams was that they never let up when they smelt blood, they always went for the kill.  Mourinho has never been that type of manager though, even in the years when his Chelsea teams scored plenty.

0-4 Mourinho out...
Ronaldo should score a goal or two on his return to Old Trafford tonight. Will Pogba show Juve what they have missed?

f**k me these guys are an embarrassment.

Tony Baloney

Are United playing tonight?

snoopdog

Better 2nd half
Havent looked like ever scoring though. Lukaku is dreadful must have a clause in his contract to play all 90 mins.

Boycey

Well beaten, much better 2nd half.

Positives, the result in the other game and easily Lindelofs best 90mins in a Utd jersey.

Tony Baloney

At least they looked like they were trying in the second half.

From the Bunker

No shame in that present Man Utd group losing 0-1 at home to a good Juventus side.

yellowcard

Dire first half, dropping off and playing like the away side. Improved second half and that was Lindelofs best game since he came to the club thought he was excellent. Matic and Lukaku dreadful again, both need dropped.

stiffler

Utd will still scrape through what is a relatively poor group.
