Not sure you can say Crocker was looking for a way out. He was getting pummeled and got back. Was desperately trying to stay standing until the bell. It's not his fault.

Ref has had a 'mare and could have avoided an the controversy, but Donovan lost control and it's cost him big time.

He lost control or didn't hear the bell. Only he knows.

He was in the zone and unloading, add in the noise..

gallsman

As I said, the ref should have been in there much earlier but "being in the zone and unloading" to the point of not hearing the bell in boxing is, by definition, losing control.

Also, whether he heard the bell or not is irrelevant. It was waaaay after it. A blatant foul.

Wildweasel74

Balls he didn't hear the bell!

You don't know if he did or didn't..

whether he won the fight over the previous rounds is not up for debate,  don't take a chance regardless.

Been a fractious enough of a fight with use of heads and elbow at one point.

Ref could have consulted more? Though he did look like he had said something to the judges I'm not sure, but it's over now.

He got schooled and will avoid a rematch, but as we know money talks. Even with the points deductions he was still ahead.

First off, you don't know what he'll do

Secondly, he's the mandatory for a world title. If he wants to wait for that, he's absolutely entitled to.

Thirdly, he got absolutely battered last night and had no quit in him. Look at the state of his eye FFS. As Bellew said on dazn, if he'd not got back up after the first knockdown, nobody would have held anything against him

But sure you go ahead and sit at home on your sofa with a few cheap cans in you and call him a coward.

no not a clue what he will do, initially there was no to a rematch, but now there is a possibility of it happening and could be for a world title according to
Eddie Heaen, we will wait and see.

Dig away, but calling anyone who steps into the ring a coward is, well, it's daft would be the polite way of saying it

Done a boxing charity club fundraising event at the club many years ago, scariest 3 rounds of my life lol

Boxers who intentionally get in a ring to get punched are not cowards lol

Don't get me wrong, I have noting but respect for the vast majority of boxers and they put their life on the line every time they enter the ring.

Calling anyone who steps through the ropes to box a coward is a bit silly.
