Thank God for that. I was particularly disappointed for Declan Rice 😆

Look-Up!

Quote from: johnnycool on July 14, 2024, 10:23:02 PMKane was pants the whole tournament, but had to start and with Spain having so much possession England were going to be reliant on the counter attack.

Southgate waited too long to get Watkins on, plus their luck ran out.

Southgate was shocking and still he was a gee hair from a knighthood. Played the whole tournament not to lose. Carried Kane. Funny thing is, anytime they went behind and needed a goal, they got it, and usually in quick time. Even tonight, went behind with 2 minutes to go and could/should have got an equaliser.

I think Utd fans should worry. Radcliffe wanted this clown as his main man. Has he really better football smarts than the yanks?

Quote from: bennydorano on July 14, 2024, 10:22:34 PMRice has the touch of a Bulgarian shot putter. Mainoo so much classier.

Mainoo a belter of a player. Had a bit too much to do there but looks a very smart footballer.

Bellingham obviously has quality but tries to be Roy of the rovers. If they disciplined him to play a certain role he'd be better. Bit too much of a maverick and doesn't have the right players round him to do that.
He played as a false 9 for Madrid this season and done very well. Probably could have played that role for England instead of playing an injured Kane. Don't know what his role will be with Madrid next season with Mbappe coming in as a striker.

I always thought Spain would win it but Englands name was on the cup. So I had to jinx England in my prediction.

Yemal was awful by his usual high standards but he still had a vital assist. On the night I think Williams was the most influential player.

Are England now the Mayo of International football?

How many times has Rice given the ball away in the last 2 games?

Quote from: weareros on July 14, 2024, 10:12:32 PMRice as usual pure shite, most of his passes back to Pickford. Spanish players are many levels above in skill.

A good example of the nonsense from English/Sky pundits pre tournament.

Bellingham is overrated also imo, always throwing himself on the floor also.

Bellingham looks a cert to be his generation's Dele Alli. He's quick, he's strong, he has a hell of a first touch. But he's more interested in being noticed than being a footballer. And that's despite what should have been a brilliant grounding in Dortmund.

At 21,it's like 'what have the Romans ever done for us? '  ;D

Top scorer in Germany, would they not welcome him with open arms? Surely as nation that worships the  premier league, but hates England we could just revel in the defeat than talk jibberish?

I'm talking about hiring the manager. Maybe read the post before typing jibberish.

The players get a total pass from morons like PL fanboy Ferdinand, why didn't we play on the front foot and take a few chances ? Well you didn't & couldn't get the ball. They still don't control games well enough for all the "star power" they have.

It's an all-seater stadium, and supposedly up to 5000 Colombians have crashed it.  Where are they sitting?

Decent game so far. Colombia far the better in the first half.
