Quote from: Truth hurts on January 31, 2025, 09:18:41 AMNow is the moment to catch up with the Irish team and join the bandwagon for tomorrow.

Yeah heading to pub, bite to eat and shout at the telly and ask why that foul was given lots of times  ;D

Make sure to respect the kicker by not talking in the pub during penalties and conversions and to ask others to do the same.

Remember, if we are winning, "we're dominating the breakdown". If we are losing, "we need to dominate the breakdown".

Just the 7 starters and 5 replacements who are over 30 years old this weekend, en route to the four-yearly decimation of a tired, battered and ageing Irish team in the quarter finals of the World Cup.

Meanwhile there's a squad of men at home or on the fringes of the team who can't be trusted for a World Cup game, as they've never been trusted before.

One World Cup cycle Ireland might eventually identify the weakness in their cyclical strategy. f**k knows they spend enough money on analysis so it should be obvious enough.

But not this time. No way.

Milltown Row2

I think if England start well they'll win, Ireland were not great last time out, not difficult to lift their game again this crowd but have a sneaky feeling the slide will start long before the next world cup
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Watched the u20s last night and if that's the conveyor belt there is trouble ahead.

U20s have been very strong for the last two or three years. Back to back grand slams and then second last year after a thrilling draw with England. Runners up in the U20 WC too. Should be no shortage of talent.

Oh yes they've been great past few years but were totally underpowered vs England last night. They really struggled to get beyond the halfway line and had to resort to futile cross-field kicks. The English props and second row were massive in comparison.

How bad are Wales +28 in the handicap!?

Wales played well for 15 mins. It's all going to shit now. Could be a cricket score tonight

Wildweasel74

Wales been bad for over 5yrs, France hard to beat at home, scoreline no suprise.

Anyone watching the itv build up to the game might have noticed sideline reporter Gabriel Clarke looked a bit rough. He looked like someone you might see in a hospice, skinny and yellow looking compared to a healthy Shane Williams beside him. I did a google of Gabriel Clarke illness but nothing came up. I wonder what might be wrong with him?

gallsman

Somewhat terrifyingly, France have made mistakes all over the place here and have hardly clicked. Much, much more to come from them.

Wales obviously completely outclassed but they can feel hard done by a few poor refereeing decisions. Clear Dupont forward pass wasn't even looked at. Josh Adams tackled high etc.

In Wales last 17 six nations games. 15 defeats and two wins. Wins v Italy in March 2023 and against Scotland in 2022.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

The same character was the ref for Italy v England last year when England scored from a clear forward pass (as seen in Full Contact s2 e1). Obviously arrogant enough to believe he can't be wrong.

Hopefully someone puts a muzzle on the tenor.
