Poor bench. Still replying on 40+ yr old subs.

No excitement in that backline. Pumas blew it
Who is the 40 year old playing for Ireland?

35 and 37 year olds...I thought having experience to call on from the bench was a good thing

Have yez any pity for England. Do you know I watched all 3 games and they weren't far away in any of them. Far from convincing right enough but probably not as bad as press will say

They are getting abuse as they can't see out the match.

Aye fair enough they can't seem to do that but still dangerous and introducing some new ones  unlike Ireland

Their replacement scrumhalf was throwing some wild passes from the base of the scrum and rucks causing Smith issues and losing momentum.. England looked very decent at times and will be there or there abouts come the 6N's.

Ireland seem to be suffering badly on the penalty count side of things which is very unlike them. Whether referees are onto them or the new rule changes haven't bedded in yet and that doesn't help, but I just can't see any cohesion in there.

You could live with it if you knew they were bedding in new players with the WC in mind, and barring the young prop which is good to see and maybe skinny Prendergast at OH it's all the tried and trusted that are letting the whole thing down.

Smith aside their back line is a scandalous size. Waboso, Lawrence, Slade and the Steward are dangerously big. Slade has lost them both matches by my reckoning.

Their squad depth is very slim. Dombrandt and Van Poorfielt are nowhere near test level and never will be.

Stunned to see Dombrandt back. Has shown himself not to be up to it on any number of occasions. Aye Van Poortfliet ain't got it either. Mitchell their clear top scrum half

Borthwick obviously knows more about the game than boys on the Internet but it clear that he has made some dubious selection decisions both before and during the matches. Ben Spencer is the best box kicker he has in his squad and was an obvious choice against SA given the way they play. Their blitz defence has been shown up time after time as they were getting stepped around or burst open late in matches - presumably because the players were fucked e.g. Henry Slade who hasn't much game time at the minute. Genge flying off the line has given a few away too as he was easily side-stepped.

Rois

Going to the Aviva (first time) next Sat for Ireland v Australia.

I'm on a tight deadline - how long is it likely to be between kick off at 3.10 and the finish of the game?  I know 40 mins per half etc, but what's the general experience?  Have a train from Connolly at 5.50pm.  I've acknowledged I'll prob have to leave early, but how early?

There are later trains?

You are talking on average 46 minutes each half plus 15 minutes halftime .. it's 40 minutes walk, 20 plus in a taxi if you are lucky to hail one!
