Quote from: bennydorano on July 23, 2024, 01:47:57 PMDespise towpaths, greasy & glass strewn from my experience- accidents waiting to happen.

Used to use them on work commute. Mostly good experience but arriving behind a jogger going in same direction with their headphones on was always a challenge.

Quote from: JimStynes on July 19, 2024, 03:30:57 PMAs lance used to say... not normal!

He has been hammering the likes of yates, carapaz, for a long time. The one guy that can live with him has neither the form or the team this year.

Quote from: RedHand88 on July 17, 2024, 02:49:28 PMThis is absolute madness. Ridiculous policy. You'd think the likes of Crossmaglen, Tir na og etc are going to be completely screwed.
Tbf each club contributes the same amount to the county coffers
I am from a bigger club but can understand why it's done like this .

I wonder if cross , peters , clan Éireann , killeavy who have two teams in the league run as two separate teams get 480 ?

How would it work with hurling clubs would they get 240 as well? Some of those are dual clubs

Quote from: gerry on July 19, 2024, 06:03:01 AMben healy is having some tour

He is riding really well but needs to ride with his head as well as his legs. Does far to much on the front and maybe attacks a little too often rather than be bit cuter and make one big one count. Dan Martin was similar. But he has to be really pleased with his performance. Hopefully Rafferty will get a tour entry next year but he is young yet. Today is a killer, don't think altitude will affect TP or JV will be cumulative fatigue if either blow in a big way. Remco eyeing 2nd but needs to not blow up himself.

Quote from: Armagh18 on July 15, 2024, 04:37:56 PMSeen somewhere that only 13k tickets to each county? Surely not right is it?

Always starts like that then 2nd allocation usually on the Thursday

Think you are right in that its the more secure option. Lets hope it stays that way. Ethan was great to watch bombing forward but always the danger of being turned over. Hughes has been excellent.

I'd like to see Bennett get competitive again. On stage 3 he had to sit up in the sprint as was boxed in but wasnt far off. Dont know what happened him yesterday was about 15th i think. Hopefully can get a clearer run today.

In reality if he hadn't had 3 seasons with that virus and crashed out of at least another 2 tours that i can remember, he could have had that record smashed a long time ago. They aren't going 10/1 on him today.

Timing momentum and power. All fell perfectly. Delighted for him and he is fully vindicated for coming back. Might not be done yet either

Will there be any tickets through the clubs or just all online sales ?

If you look at the odds on Paddypower they have the fixtures as

Saturday
Armagh v Roscommon 3.45
Kerry v Derry 6pm

Sunday
Donegal v Louth 1.45
Dublin v Galway 4pm

Not sure if that could be trusted.

Quote from: Pub Bore on June 17, 2024, 04:01:40 PMRomania 3 - 0 Ukraine.  Bit of a surprise?

Bookies had Ukraine at 7/10 this morning, think romania were about 3/1. They were unbeaten in qualifying whereas Ukraine beat Iceland in a play off to get there. Dont know why bookies would price it like that.

Only just over a month to the TDF. Will Jonas make it back in good enough nick to challenge? Jumbo say he won't ride unless he is 100%. Yates was in great form in Tour De Suisse, i wouldn't be surprised if he is top 3 in the tour this year.
