Why Portlaoise?

Surely Semple Stadium would be a better venue and more neutral.

If it was a Kerry instead of Cork in the final it would be played in a Munster venue as that seems to be the case for most of these neutral county underage and club matches. Cork more often or not seem to get Tullamore or Portlaoise for these games.

So where in Munster did Kerry minors play Tyrone yesterday?

A rare occurrence and no doubt the traveling Kerry support were bemused that they had to travel outside of Munster for such a game.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story. More anti Kerry drivel as usual.  People do nothing but moan on this forum.

I don't do anti anything. I'm one of the most fair and balanced posters on here. You on the other hand are a WUM.

Hardly!

Conor Cox was best player on pitch last Saturday.  Without him the rossies wouldn't have beaten Galway or Mayo. Cunningham priority will be to keep Cox on board as I believe Peter Keane approached to be involved with Kerry in 2020.

Gas how the morons think when Dublin do well at underage it's down to money! But if Kerry, Tyrone, Cork, Mayo, Kildare, Galway have success, it's down to having good players!

Dublin have a very good development system, which was zero to do with Games Development Funding. Although despite our huge playing numbers, we can't get a good run of success at minor.

At this stage, all out of our U20s would have plenty of games under their belt at senior club level. This is a huge advantage over most other counties, because the standard is so high, and in particular, so deep in Dublin. Every team littered with culchies to, which again helps increase the standard.

Portlaoise tends to get more of these football semis and finals than Semple for some reason?
There's a double header on this time. Don't know who with and whether that might explain or further confuse the decision.
Nothing to do with money at all
Who does all the athletic development and S&C with these lads in clubs and county panels?
I'd love to get a few of these Dublin GAA volunteers down our way. They must be miracle workers

And yet, and yet almost no player from a minority background has come through onto the county panels in Dublin.
Where is all participation money being spunked?

When don't your clubs spend money on GPO rather than 200 euro a session to outside manager on adult teams? In kerry we went back to basics and looked at plan for our elite young players. The Currans is excellent training facility. Look.at our minor teams in recent years

But but but.... I thought it was just one special bunch who luckily all came along at the one time....

Dublin won't win AI's once the likes of Alan Brogan, Bernard Brogan, Connolly, Paul Flynn, O'Gara, Bastick, Eamonn Fennell, Barry Cahill, Kevin Nolan, Bryan Cullen, Ger Brennan, Darren Daly, Nicky Devereux from the once off golden generation fade away.

Get a bit of sun into you. It not healthy taken all that anger out on that keyboard

Can you guys not just lay off the young lads at least and let them enjoy their day in the sun. There'll be no talk about conveyor belts if Cork win on Saturday - just as there was no talk about it at the weekend when Mayo beat the Dublin minors.

Miserable begrudgers.

I say Rossfans dick gets hard talking about the jackeens. Is forever hijacking threads with Dublin stuff.  It a All Ireland 20 thread there is another 20 threads on the dubs

Would habe been nice to have been allowed buy a cup of tea in the main stand last year, but werent allowed in by the local stewards.

Stands were a long way from the pitch, but to be fair that was Mickey Harte's decision

I don't think it was tea you soccer-like lager louts were after!

Yeah they would also tell you they've not played any home ones either.
I can see the stadium being covered in flags this year and not just Palestine ones.

They have a history of talking complete sh1te, I agree.

And annoyingly singing soccer chants at matches..

Booing and jeering like a troop of monkeys as well. Probably scagging after a long night on the gear in fairness.

;D

The best part of Dublin dominance is the annoyance of other county fans, i know it upsets you all but . . . . . its going ot continue for a few more years.

Dont want to get involved in fan for fan tantrums but Tyrone fans are better that Dublin fans in their behaviour is what i am hearing here, Dublin fans have their bad apples all right, especially in the past, however Tyronen are  the most violent county in the country, most likey people sitting in the stands who murdered people, innocent people, and falls over to the football pitch, county chairmans being knocked out at a ladies county finals, a manager who supports rapists in court. Tyrone fans can be a horrible shower in the stands behaving like animals shouting racist and homophopic slurs, violent taunts.

Anyway gents back to the game, i would expect 2 strong teams and im going for a draw, Omagh is a tough place to go and last years game was very tight with a few calls going Dublins way.

This board is away to f**k lately.

I agree, i dont mind talk of Dublin at all and debating, buts it the poluting of all match thrreads with rubbish posts, match threads should be about the match, players, tactics etc etc, there are numerous threads on Dublin, why not use one of them for spouting crap and insults and slander and leave the match threads to football talk.

Lads like Dennis Breen, Mup, Rossfan, Manfromdelmonte and from the bunker seem to be usual suspects for this. Could we put Dublin discussions in one thread like boards?

We laid down a marker today. Peter Keane is shrewd operator, think were serious contenders now.

You laid down a marker against a 'B' Donegal full back line!

We're a young team. Daithi Moran was a loss in the middle. We will get better.

Great win for our Junior against Galway. 4 Junior All Ireland in a row. Great to see players from small rural clubs representing  their county.

So Roscommon basically need to focus on the Connacht championship and beating their neighbours from now on.

Would playing the game in e.g. Tullamore have made a difference?

The  rossies were lucky mayo were peaking for August. Pure fluke rossies winning
