Looks like SM having difficulties. The aul fella is with BT Broadband and it won't load for him. Works fine on my mobile data. Possibly the Premier League court order that the ISPs were implementing. Will have to set him up with a VPN.

It's the court orders, all IPTV providers in U.K. are struggling with it but it's not affecting ROI... I know the crowd I'm with are actively pursuing it and have been testing a workaround, I'm on their mailing list and although not affected I receive updates as to what they're doing.

I presume not being able to set up a payment system is also down to nobody being willing to take Sportsmania on?

Diffucult to figure out whats going on with Sportsmania. Payment processor has been down for quite a while now so cant take on new subscribers. Meanwhile current subscribers whose sub is running out are being given free week at a time subs until payment issue has been sorted.
On top of that they arent able to show the PL games as they did last year. They have however told subscribers  that the matches can be viewed on their Matchday section on Kodi. That worked last week but the 3pm games arent working this afternoon. They also took down their FB page this week which was very useful for advice/assistance but became populated with ones complaining about the service of late!!

Mobdro wasn't working too well for me either today.  Don't know if it's a coincidence but streams were very erratic

Interesting team selection today, clear rotation which is good to see. Team looks a little weaker on paper but Salah available to come off the bench and squad needs to be utilised to compete at home and in Europe.

We haven't seen this yet from Klopp. Players won't be used to it but let's hope they rise to the occasion.

Result achieved but poor performance. I know Kopp needs to rotate players but on this evidence coutinho needs to get fit soon or he needs sold and money invested!

Didn't he do well! Bruce Forsyth RIP
The man gave me hope.
I don't think the world will ever see such an ugly **** nail as many good looking women.
RIP Bruce, you truly were one of a kind.

Legend. RIP Brucie

This is a weird one. Especially with the kind of money on offer.

Do they not run the risk of disruption in the camp if they fail to sell him and he's forced to return?

Or are they holding out for 120?

Thats daft money.  I can only assume that liverpool will turn it down until they have a replacement more or less signed. Otherwise its wait until January and Leipsig might play ball on Keita.

Has been quiet around these parts for a few weeks.

More or less down to 11 teams that could be in finals - top 6 probably safely in with Melbourne, West Coast, Western Bulldogs, Essendon and St Kilda fighting for the last two spots.

Essendon have a good run in with the terrible Gold Coast to beat this week then Fremantle who are just about done for the year. West Coast on the other hand have GWS then Adelaide. I'll stick my neck out and pick Essendon and Melbourne to make it.

Adelaide v Sydney tonight could well be a grand final preview - tough game to call but I'd pick the Crows with home advantage.

Correct , crows v swans is gonna be a serious game , Buddy vs Eddie Betts !
I've tipped the crows as well as they have been untouchable at home all year

One of the games of the year. Crows could not kick straight which ultimately cost them. Highlight probably a goal by Buddy from the touchline after a 50 yards run, bounce, fumble, pickup, look around, decide ah feck it, boot, goal!

LAst spot in the eight is going to be a close one. Part of me would like to see Sam Mitchell get another final game before bowing out but Conor mcKenna has had a great year so would like to see him play in September.

Is Coutinho injured then since he's not for sale?   ;)

Back injury for about 10 days.

Looks like the same story this year.  Goals at both ends.  Lovren got bullied in 1st half

And no Andy Carroll type available this time given Jose has snapped up Lukaku  ;) ;)

James Pearce saying that the club are denying any transfer request.

The transfer rumour mill really is an industry in itself. To be honest if Barcelona were offering 100m early in a transfer window, I'd take it. I like Coutinho, and I'd prefer him to want to stay, but he's still inconsistent, and if there was time to replace him, I'd take it.

Problem now of course is the season is about to start, and because FSG have failed to strengthen the squad sufficiently, LFC just cannot afford to lose him at this stage.

I would agree with that.
Coutinho is a fantastic player, one of the best attacking MF in the league, but if he wants to go and you are getting £100m + for him i would reluctantly take it.
The issue is getting a replacement.

the likes of Sigurdson and Lanzini are good players, but both a considerable step down

Not in the same league. To be honest if he's gonna go you would probably be better trying to get one of the barca squad players as part of the deal, like rafinha. At least you know you are getting someone decent and barca will be desperate to get the deal done so you should avood getting screwed on valuation.

If you have no replacement lined up and £100m in the pocket
You're f**ked in trying to negotiate a sensible price.

Definitely been disappointing so far. Salah and Solanke are good signings but not necessarily what was needed (although if Couthinho goes then Salah was a must). If Couthinho goes and with no LLanna for a couple of months you will probably see Firmino drop into the 10 roles with Salah and Mane wide and Sturridge/Solanke/Origi upfront. Not bad, but nowhere near the strength that we are with Cout. Also leaves us exposed on the bench (Woodburn?).

I get the feeling that a lot of eggs were put in the Keita basket and fair play to Leipzig for playing hardball. They could potentially lose £20m plus through holding on to him for an extra year. The Emre Can situation is worrying as well. Juve are trying to take advantage of the 1 year to run on the contract scenario to get him on the cheap (£18-£20m). Would be a big loss at this point but I dont think FSG would allow that kind of financial loss (Unlike Leipzig) for someone they view as non core. Couthinho is different as because of the 5 year contract and the PSG/Barca interest as well they know he will still be worth big money next year.

I still think VVD is a possibility but would be worried about any new signings coming in who have not done a Klopp preseason. A coupel of bad results in August Sept and you are playiong catch up from then on with (hopefully) Champions League to contend with as well.

Saw the hawks geelong game. Absolute classic. Isaac Smith played on at the very end from a mark about 45 out and missed. He obviously didn't fancy another after the siren pop!

Lots of talk that a Andrew Robertson from Hull deal is close - 8million fee

Very good transfer if they do it, some good scouting done on that one, value for money too unlike that Kyle Walker freakshow transfer earlier

Is he any good? Can't say I know the first thing about him

Steady wing back who can actually defend, something similar to Leighton Baines.
Young and with good coaching he could become very good. Dont be expecting a worldie.
A mark up on that clown Moreno, probably the first decent left back since Riise.

Robertson's weakness is his defending. That might improve with coaching and for £10m he may prove to be a bargain especially considering the extortionate fees being paid elsewhere.

Sounds like a certain Spaniard on the books! Hopefully he will be a Clyne equivalent at a minimum.  Can't believe what City paid for Walker

QuoteWHEN I first joined Liverpool ten years ago, I had three main ambitions. First, I wanted to win a place in the team, which I managed to do. Next, I hoped to prove myself worthy of the shirt, an aim that others will be better placed than me to decide whether or not it was achieved. Finally, I looked ahead to the future with a hope that if and when the time came to leave this wonderful club I would do so on the best possible terms. That time has now come as I prepare for a new career at Lazio and while I am saddened that my days at Anfield are coming to an end, I can at least take comfort from the knowledge that my relationship with Liverpool and the supporters is stronger than ever.

This is one of the greatest clubs in the world and my intention had always been to spend the rest of my career here but the less I have been able to play, the more I have realised that I need to go to another club if I want to play as much as I possibly can. When you love a club and a city as much as I love Liverpool that isn't an easy decision to come to. The easiest thing for me to do would be to stay here for as long as I can even if I do not expect to play so often but that would go against everything that I believe in as a footballer and as a competitor.

It is for that reason that I will be joining Lazio, which means my sadness at leaving Liverpool is accompanied by a real excitement that I will be representing one of Italy's great clubs. Before I made my decision to take the opportunity to go to Italy, I discussed my situation with Jurgen Klopp and the way he handled it showed once again how respectful he is to his players. I am grateful to him and to all of the managers I worked under at Liverpool, especially the ones who showed faith in me when it would have been easy to do the opposite.

My priority now is to look ahead to a new chapter in my career in the belief that I can contribute to Lazio in the same way that I hope I have helped Liverpool....

QuoteI have been blessed to live and work in this city, a place that I have come to realise is different to any other, and while living here I have been married and blessed with two wonderful children so whatever happens now we will always take Liverpool with us everywhere we go. I have also been fortunate to play with so many world class team mates and shared their devotion to do everything that we could to help the club be as good as it can be.

Off the pitch, I was honoured to become a trustee of the LFC Foundation and got to see at first hand the work they do in the local community. When I celebrated being at Liverpool for a decade recently, it meant a lot to hear some of the children who the Foundation has helped describe me as a Scouser. I might not have won as many trophies as I would have liked during my time here but to have people talk about me in that way means as much as any medal. The same goes for the video I was sent on Friday which showed the fans, many of them young, singing my name during the game at Wigan Athletic. To be the recipient of that support and that passion makes me so proud.

It is for those reasons – and many, many more – that Liverpool Football Club and its supporters will always have a special place in my heart. On top of that, the personality, humour, dignity and integrity of the people of this city will also stay with me for ever. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single Liverpool fan. My family and myself will always be grateful for your support and for being part of this great club, which means we will also be sad now that the time has come for me to leave. All I can say now is that I hope more than anything else that the new season turns out to be a great one for my new club and my old club.

YNWA. JFT96

Great piece and shows why he is held is such high esteem by Liverpool fans.  Right time for him to go and a classy way to do it.

Wish him well at Lazio. Him and Ariana will be missed at Anfield for very different reasons! #21 YNWA
