Gutted with the result, United deserved to win that as we looked danergous everytime we went forward in that 2nd half. Tactically Jose got it spot on apart from Pogba again going to sleep again from a set piece. United concede far too many goals from set pieces given the size of the team. Martial was very wasteful in the 1st half, he got a lot of ball and did nothing with whilst Lukaku was poor for 90 mins although worked harder in the 2nd half. Martial & Mata came alight the 2nd half as did Pogba and United looked a real threat and the makings of a decent team is their. If only we had 2 centre halfs who could keep the ball would make a huge difference.

Was he right to go negative when United got ahead and were in the ascendancy? Attack is the best form of defence, a third goal would have sealed it. That's an alien concept to him though.

Said exactly the same to a colleague today. Utd of old would of went straight to trying for 3-1. Instead he just tries to close up shop at 2-1. You could see the goal coming too as Utd had their backs to the wall after the changes were made.  :-\

Would of taken a point at half time and maybe even before the game started but at the end it felt like a loss.

This isnt just United's problem. Liverpool this year seem content to try to hang onto a lead much more so than last year. City are the only team that really go for the jugular albeit it is often through lightning counter attacks when they are in front.

It was the thing I (grudgingly) admired most Ferguson's teams was that they never let up when they smelt blood, they always went for the kill.  Mourinho has never been that type of manager though, even in the years when his Chelsea teams scored plenty.

Oh no some lad celebrated a lat minute winner in front of me!!!

Grow up!! What exactly did Jose achieve? Load of auld shite he should know better and it sounds like Chelsea are dealing with the issue so what's the problem?

The Chelsea asst coach was a p***k and Mourinho had every right to have a go at him. However, given his various antics over the years he cannot really take the high ground

The A Cassidy thing was one of the craziest things I've seen on the pitch, he should have been going on with a pair of crutches for God's sake.

Couldnt believe that either. Just hope he has not aggravated the injury seriously. Decent guy who is probably one of the best fielders in Tyrone. Augher missed him badly yesterday.

Fair play to the Tatts. Just shows you what can happen, Beragh should have knocked them out of the Junior Championship last year in the first round but for a late goal to take it to a replay.

Lucky to be one up at half time. Badly missing Mane and Firmino. Sturridge has been anonymous but has had very little service. Could see Gini and Firmino coming on before too long.

Edit. Winjandum on st half time for Hendo

Pogba all at sea on that corner for the Chelsea goal.

Even worse was his reaction trying to blame Lindelof for his own mistake. Itís all about Paul

International break has been its usual disaster for Liverpool

Salah, Keita, Van Dijk and Mane all injured in some shape or form.

Not sure how serious the injuries are as reports that Virgil van Dijk, James Milner and Mohamed Salah will be fit for the Huddersfield game on Sat. I think Klopp might rest Salah/VVD in any case.

At least Sturridge wasnt called up!

Fair play to the fellas sharing their struggles

I think I was 13 the first time I got drunk but didn't really go at regularly till I was about 15 and like a load of young fellas I went at it any time I got the chance, looking back it was clearly a crutch for a nervous disposition but I'd a mate that was similar to me so we'd both get trolleyed regularly, it was the freeing aspect of you could make an eejit of yourself and if anything happened you'd the excuse you were drunk, it's little wonder drinking is dropping off in youth these days though where make any mistake and its recorded forever, this has to be part of the rise in suicides in young people, they don't get to make their mistakes in private anymore.

We both used to work in bars so we'd be out mid week drinking during school term, to be fair we had some serious craic and I don't think I'd change much even if I was to go back but the perspective of looking back at it now is interesting for me. I remember looking at older people wondering why the f**k you'd stay in on a Saturday night, but then again the craic in the bars isn't the same anymore with more people electing to drink with friends at home.

This continued through uni and into the late twenties, I've settled down now lost near 3 stone and  going drinking is nearly a chore now and the thought of wasting my Sunday lying dying on the sofa annoys me when I could be at something a bit more useful and fulfilling. But there's still something in the back of my head wanting to go out with the boys and drink the head of myself for 3 days but I think its as much nostalgia as anything.

I despise these people who are constantly videoing people in bars/house/street who have had a few too many. Its one thing taking a picture of a mate who is loaded but videoing strangers and posting it on social media is a low action. MOst of us have probably done things we are not proud of when you have had a few but in todays society if the wrong person is there it ends up all over social media.  As you say, if a tenth of the stuff I got up to in my Uni days had been videoed I'm reasonably confident I would not have ended up in the same place in my life I am now i terms of jobs, location and relationship.

This is a business. These are business men, making business decisions. The quality of the product, is the team and its success or lack of. The Glazers bought Utd for £575m what, 14,15 years ago? They could sell the club today easily for 2 billion and quite possibly more. That's business. That's big boy business. That's all this is.
JM is harming that business. He's turning players and fans off which means less profits. He will be ruthlessly disposed of.

And I think the club itself  paid off the vast majority of the debt used to fund the acquisition. Not that there is anything wrong with that but it is hard to swallow for United fans

United appointing Conte would be the final death knell of 'The United Way'.

Surely a no go. Although his football wasn't as bad as stated.
I doubt a 4th defensive manager and another sacked Chelsea manager will be appointed then again its business men not football men making the decisions and i'd wonder how many games Joel and Avram Glazer even watch United play never mind knowing the "the United way"

What about Arsene?  ;) ;) Builds teams to play attractive football, proven PL track record. I think if he was given the type of resources Mourinho has had (£300m plus at a guess) I would bet on him putting together a decent team very quickly! As I have said before, i do not think its wholesale changes needed personnel wise, especially in the attacking positions. Better man management and a tactical overhaul could deliver better results almost immediately. Spend big on a couple of defenders and United will not be far away. Jose is a arrogant bollox however and will clearly go nowhere until he is pushed with a big payoff and then he can whinge about not being backed by the Board.  ::)

p.s Obviously I do not think Arsene will ever be an option , to me I cannot see past Zizou for the job. The fans will demand either a big name or an ex-player and I cannot see anyone in the 2nd group capable.

Up the Eagles! Couldnít find a good stream ffs but saw bits and pieces. Nerve wrecking finish and one of the best finals in years apparently.

Watched the full match on Sunday. Brilliant final. Collingwood led early but got pegged back by half time and then the lead swung a few times. Jack Darling the most relieved man in the stadium at the end, he dropped an absolute sitter in the last minute in front of goals that would have guaranteed the win for the Eagles. The fact he missed left 1 kick in it and meant he had a nervous last few seconds. Serious effort by the Eagles given they were missing two of their biggest stars for the last few weeks of the season in Gaff (Suspension) and Nicnacnui (injury).

Tom  Mitchell of Hawthorn won the Brownlow the week before. Well deserved.

Not sure if Aerlik is still around on here but he will be glad he stopped his weekly updates this year. It would have been tough for a Freo man to report on the Eagles the last few weeks.

Going to need to get in and around Hazard on Saturday.  He's a bloody handful.

A class act. On form hes the best player in the league, although De Bruyne is possibly more consistent.

Disappointed to be out especially given how strong a team we had out. I see Fabinho getting a bad press today from a few quarters. I was actually reasonably happy with him once he started to push up on Fabregas who was getting too much space early on. Hopefully he can turn out to be a quality holding midfielder.

Any reds on here think we're good enough to win the league with what we've got?

Not a united fan but in my view United "should" be competing for the league and the reason they are not is largely down to the manager.

They have the best keeper in the league, bar none.  From midfield onwards six from Matic, Sanchez, Lukaku, Pogba, Rashford, Martial, Fellani, Mata, Lingaard should be competing at the very top level. Yes the defense is not good enough but Jose spent big money on players  (and could have spent more) and they have not delivered. Added to that the midfield/attacking players I listed, almost to a man are a shadow of the players they were at previous clubs. In my opinion that is not a coincidence and is because of Mourhino's playing style (and unwillingness to change it because he knows better than everyone else  ::)) and his poor man management. I agree that several of the players are not covering themselves in glory with their attitude but JOse's willingness to throw them under the bus to deflect blame from himself/his tactics is staggering. Phil Jones was the latest to get it last night.

Sinkholes cause County Monaghan GAA club closure

Nightmare for the club involved

Dalradian want to do the same in Greencastle, with a Cyanide processing plant.

To be fair Greencastle's pitch could do with being lowered a few yards closer to sea-level Ziggy ;) ;)......
