I see V starts on TV3 on Thursday. Is it a mini series or what? Must take a look at it.

The Real Laoislad

Was gonna start a thread on this myself..
I remember the first time it was shown in the 80's
Will defiantly have to check this out
You'll Never Walk Alone.

What's the story with it. Is it one of these shows that will run or are there only a few episodes?

I remember watching it a few times but it was on too late for me. I usually had to go to bed after Prisoner Cell Block H.

Square Ball

one of my favourite series ever, but I think it will look dated now.

It's a remake with all mods/cons.

Shamrock Shore

Serious crush on the blond lassie back in 1984.

Used to scare the crap out of me when I was young, but I saw a bit of it on some of those repeat channels and it certainly looks dated.

They're trying to do a Battlestar Galactica on it. A reboot for the 21st Century.

I remember I always wanted to stay up and watch this but I wasn't allowed back in the day. Sooo I watched it on the other TV and when there was an ad break I ran for bed cos I knew one of the ould pair would come to check on us!

anyone that liked V must have also liked the film They Live

The first five minutes alone will hook you for the entire season http://www.celebrityextraonline.com/2009/10/new-v-is-must-watch-tv.html

I have the mini series and the series on DVD. The mini series, some dodgy effects aside is still good viewing. Funny to see all the nazi undertones.

The follow up series wasn't great though.

Still it's a nostalgia trip - it's the first tv I was ever allowed to stay up late and watch.

Worth watching to see what they've made of it.

Is this the shortest thread title ever? Lol
