Different sides of the county, Ballyduff Upper in west near Lismore where as Ballyduff Lower in East division. Not neighbouring townlands!

Both sides are the same colours too red and white so had to wear other clubs colours for last Sunday's final.
Great game too by all accounts with crazy score of 1 32 to 2 23 in favour of Upper who are back to senior now after one year down at intermediate.

No. Our players are amateurs who should be allowed time off to enjoy Christmas with family and friends. Mind you some counties including Waterford have trained on Christmas day in the past which is madness in my view.

13000 plus at hurling league semi finals in Kilkenny last weekend. Not a great crowd but in fairness it's a long trip from Galway and parts of Limerick to Kilkenny. Dublin don't have a big travelling support for hurling. Waterford hard core league support of a few thousand did make the short journey.

Ballygunner handed out a 3 23 to 1 4 hammering to neighbours Passage in county semi final today
They are going for 5 in a row v Abbeyside who are looking for their first Waterford title in 2 weeks. Hopefully it will be a more competitive game.

Are Mount Sion and De LaSalle off the radar in Waterford City hurling circles?

De La Salle were only beaten by a point by Abbeyside in Saturday but Mount Sion were hammered in the quarter finals for the 2nd year in a row and haven't won the county title since 2006.

Ballygunner beat Ballyduff Upper by 7 30 to 0 10 in a recent senior hurling championship game in Waterford!

The All Ireland semi final defeat to Limerick in 2007 was a sickener as was the fifth semi defeat since 1998. We had been flying all year winning the league and Munster championship and were favourites but it was the 3rd Sunday in a row that we were playing and a fired up Limerick tore into us and 2 late goals killed us off.
The 2008 final was hard to watch as a brilliant Kilkenny team produced their best ever final performance to win the most one sided final in years. I was living and working in Kilkenny to make it worse. I tried to erase that day from my memory.

I was reading in the Examiner this week that the Munster council said there were tickets for Killinan End terrace available up to Sunday morning and that inaccurate media reports said it was a sell out. So hope you went down to game and got tickets for it.

Game was sold out a couple of weeks ago but when watching on tv could see space towards front of Killinan End so looked like more could have fitted in. I see capacity must have reduced for health and safety reasons going by post above. I was at a couple of Munster finals between Waterford and Cork around 03 and 04 at that end and there wasn't much space to move there.

Liverpool have to go to Chelsea next Sunday so are making heavy weather of sealing top 4 by dropping points to West Brom and Stoke. It should be wrapped up by now. The all action way Liverpool play in Champions League seems to be hard to do twice a week.

He hasn't retired but has had a lot of injury problems. They didn't miss him today. It's back to a Kilkenny Tipperary final again.

Great game last night. Tipp seem to have a habit of letting teams back into games. Limerick never gave up and look to have a good, young team and are still missing the Na Piarsaigh players so will be good Munster championship this year.
