Loughmacrory entered two teams this year, development squad in 3b.

noticed that alright. strange however that the teams are in Gr2 and Gr3 and none in Gr1.

Think it is a difficult task to control and organise 2 teams at any youth level - it has been tried many times before with the likes of Omagh & Cappagh doing it plus EC tried it as well I think.

I see Lough and Donaghmore trying it this year - will be interesting to see how it develops going forward. I personally think it is impossible to sustain these numbers as they progress - lads just quit, lose interest, play other sports etc....

Notes:
Badoney - Glenelly/Gortin
Gael Naomh Padraig - Augher/Clogher/Eskra
Noamh Padriag - Brocagh/Derrytresk

I counted 42 U14s less Donaghmore and Loughmacrory is 40 Clubs. Take into account Badoney has 1 extra, Clan Na Gael has 1 extra (Owen Roes), Gael Naomh Padraig has 2 extra and Naomh Padraig has 1 extra, that totals 45 teams.

I counted 43 Minor Clubs. Take into account Badoney has 1 extra, Clan Na Gael has 1 extra (Owen Roes) and Gael Naomh Padraig has 2 extra, that totals 47 teams.

We should have 48 Senior Clubs in tyrone. My question is what clubs are not fielding at youth level? 3 unaccounted for at u14s and 1 unaccounted for at Minors. Dregish is 1 I can account for.

Also, how do clubs in amalgamations feel they are working for them? Positive or Negative?

Ty4Sam

Urney/Castlederg joined together at u14 I believe

bigloudmouth

Gaeil Naomh Padraig have three teams in their amalgamation - is this at u14 and u18?
And is it allowed to have have three teams together and a three team amalgamation be entered in to grade 4?????
Smacks of the magpie - chasing a bit of silver!!!!

Didn't see too many Junior teams in Tyrone complaining when Rock decided to drop down to Junior level again at the end of 2015 or Tattyragh/Owen Roes/Brocagh/Castlederg when Rock put them out this year
Rock aren't short on men with county experience themselves  (Girvan, McGarrity, Gourley, M McCreesh etc)
No idea what the story is but if Martin McCreesh had been available they would likely be champions tonight

Aye good man, we decided to drop down a division! We were relegated fair and square unfortunately.

We gave a good account of ourselves yesterday but just came up short. Very proud of the lads effort and no complaints about senior teams etc, we just didn't manage to get over the line!

Hopefully we can stabilise in intermediate now.

aye stay in Intermediate the yo-yo is a bit ridiculous.

Did McGarrity do the cruciate at the end of the game on Sunday? If he did and what I hear is right  about McCreesh heading to Australia for the year, the Rock will struggle for scores next year.  Two good players.

They'll be back for the next championship title in 2018 though!  :P

Someone say Minors start 4 March as in 9 days away? That couldn't be - theres no fixture list on tyronegaa.ie

Also what is the story with County minors are they allowed to train/play with club minors or club seniors?

Minors do start next Saturday. Minor fixtures are out since beginning of the week. Your club secretary will have them.

County minors are allowed to train/play with their club minors but can't play with club senior team until Tyrone minors are put out of the championship.

They can provided your club doesn't train on Mondays Thursdays or Saturdays, County have them on those days.

I'm trying to decide on a really meaningful message..
