Just seen the list of runners and riders for the county board in 2023. Match confidence with ability and Tyrone would be flying.

Men running for 2 positions...?

Monkey tennis anyone?

What do you mean by that?
Cushy job? Honestly. What do you expect from these players? His contributions won us an all-Ireland and for him to do that he must have made untold sacrifices.
He turned down a gig in Oz.
He takes a dip in form and there are people on here saying he's not good enough.
Damed if you do and damned if you don't.

No doubt you're the hardest working man your family has ever produced, aye?

McShane got a cushy job out of it anyway.

I'll take much of that into consideration when I make my next post

I'm not sure that's fair and is short sighted.
Every county has the same problem and always has so that would suggest that the problem goes way beyond the people currently sitting on your county board.
The rules and sanctions need ripped up and started over at national level.

It's an odd post too, Stan. You are sort of making excuses for the people actually carrying out the assaults and entirely blaming another group of people.

It's not difficult to stray far from the core point - any kind of punch to the face on a football field breaks the rules of our sport and is against our civil law.

It still happens bon the field ecause gaelic football is a sport with physicality at its essence...it happens with fans occasionally because it evokes passion and that too can be hard to contain.

The county board on the other hand are fit for Fcuk all...

If my son got clipped from behind, lost teeth and was out of work / lost earnings...FOR EXAMPLE...I'd be straight onto the PSNI and a lawyer....county board are spineless, jobsworth sheep - with the odd exception...and unfortunately in a committee environment the 'exception' is usually ignored.

If there was a call to go to the PSNI to pursue an assault charge, as a matter of interest, how would everyone feel about that?
Curious to see what the appetite on here would be to go down that route.
Not sure what value the county board would bring here to be honest

Draw....? Is that an option here?

Thoughts on the junior championship? Derrytresk seem to have hit form at the right time but Aghaloo still might be too much for them. Stewartstown v Strabane is a toss up and should be a great game as there was little between them in the league. A Derryresk v Stewartsown final could be interesting.

Derrytresk vs Strabane final - just for the added Mickey Rea drama

Is Mickey Rea involved with Strabane. That is some trek from the east of the county, assuming he lives in that area.

Getting well paid I'd say

He's more than likely taking in £80 a night - safe to assume it's 4 hours minimum out of his evening & costs him £20 at least in fuel to come back to net £60 - would you manage a team for £15 an hour - no you wouldn't so catch yourself with your nonsense.

Tough year for dungannon - the loss of Damian Casey would have hit that team hard

Naomh Colum Cille's last (and up until now their only) appearance in the Tyrone SHC final was in 2011 when they lost out to Carrickmore after beating Dungannon in a semi-final - the previous year they were in the All-Ireland JHC final losing out to Blackrock of Limerick. Every single Tyrone SHC final from 2012 onwards until now has been Carrickmore vs. Dungannon.

The SHC & JHC finals are down for the weekend of the 22/23 October, Dungannon will play the winners of a semi-final play-off between Omagh & Cúchulainn an Ghleanna in the Junior final.

"What is this shit ffs?" My opinion, that's what it is.

For a start, I would argue strongly that the current format isn't the optimum for the players and given the length of the club season there are plenty of alternatives that would see games played out, big crowds - maybe bigger crowds.

Streaming? Hardly relevant if Im in the crowd though every other game people are on here bitching about the quality, buffering etc...

Friday night lights? hardly a justification for anything - what the fcuk does it even mean?

Double header on a saturday afternoon / evening or a sunday - fcuk all wrong with that

First champi

onship game in about 5 years and Im going to need a double expresso to get back up the road.
Whose idea was it to throw games on this time of night?
And before anyone springs to the defence of the county board - having a family member or a friend on the county board isn't much to be boasting about if they're responsible for this shambles

the best club championship should be played in the very best conditions

What is this shit ffs? Friday night lights, huge crowd,  live streaming, what more do you want.

Personally think all championship games should be Saturday AND Sunday....would be all in favour of replays too.
Men working through the week and only able to get their first pint at 11.00pm? Shocking.

Thoughts on a championship game still being played at 22.40 ona Friday night?
