Diarmuid McNulty
Confirmed?

McNulty pulled out of Killyclogher. No management in place. Two current players taking the lead on the management and training front.

Plans being put in place to split the Division 3 league into two tiers. Junior Championship will remain the same. Unclear yet the format that the league will take but probably looking top tier of 8 and bottom tier of 9 with Home and Away fixtures.

Quote from: NotedObserver on November 17, 2023, 07:14:14 PMWith the allstars on tonight is there any word of Tyrone starting back up? Any new faces on and off the pitch?

Hearing alot of new faces up. Good to see
I had previously heard:

Aodhan Donaghy - Loughmacrory
Eoin McElholm - Loughmacrory
Tarlach Quinn - Moortown
Cormac Donnelly - Galbally
Lorcan McGarrity - Carrickmore
Conor McAneney - Glenelly
Tiernan Quinn - Coalisland

Anyone else?
Quote from: the_daddy on November 20, 2023, 03:24:57 PMRonan Duffin, Ben Cullen and Conall Devlin have been mentioned as call-ups.

Would any of these call ups actually improve Tyrone anywhere? Can not see  any of them making any impact.

Owen Roes hitting the North Tyrone transfer market big this winter. Johnny Lafferty in as forwards coach and transfers in for Ruairi Gormley, Oisin McGrath and one or two others from Strabane.

Quote from: clarshack on November 12, 2023, 03:41:02 PMIt's now Fianna v Moy for last remaining Division 1 place.

Drumragh beat Killeeshil by 1 and will play Intermediate in 2024. Didn't see that coming tbh.

had to make the leap at some stage
kicked themselves out of the final v Fintona... have been knocking on door for 4-5 years, lot of their youth playing at grade 2 over the past 10+ years..no surprise really
Good to see Drumragh go up having coming so close over the last number of years. With them, Fintona and Cookstown joining Intermediate it makes for a very competitive division next year. Be interesting to see who people think will be in the relegation and promotion mix next year. I would expect, especially with the promotion bounce, that two of the three will stay up - most likely Fintona and Cookstown.

Quote from: ClubScene13 on October 18, 2023, 07:00:11 PMYou'd have to crown this Errigal team as the best seen in Tyrone in the last 15 years should they win by 3 or 4 plus next weekend? I don't think Ardboe are as bad as they were made to look on Saturday but jesus they were blown away.

You'd have to go back to the Errigal / Carmen teams of 20-30 years ago since we have seen anything like this, should they do the back to back.
Would you have Ardboe in the top 10 teams in Tyrone football?
Errigal Ciaran, Trillick, Dungannon, Dromore, Omagh, Killyclogher, Edendork, Carrickmore would all be ahead of them. Would they be any better than Donaghmore, Loughmacrory, Galbally? Debateable.

Just seen the point that Paul Donaghy kicked on twitter, unbelievable

https://twitter.com/teamtalkmagLIVE/status/1696227825227862494?t=DOtAwGdYBmplC77UYzcBvg&s=19

Went down to watch that game last night and overall it was a good entertaining game. That was a great score from Paul Donaghy and Paddy Quinn kicked a fine one too in the first half. The Clarke's kicked themselves out of it in the 2nd half missing several scoreable frees. Donaghy actually hit the post from a close in free. Was disappointed with Ardboe's county men as I thought they would have stood out more. It was actually ex County Player Michael Cassidy who was their best player imo and I would call him back into the Tyrone setup considering the half back line is a major issue.
Donaghy kicked Dungannon out of it last night. Rare occurence as he is usually very reliable. Why was he hitting the left footed free kicks when Paddy Quinn was playing, very strange it and cost them. Quinn also looked to have hurt the ankle at the end, be a concern three weeks before the champioship especially with the injuries to the Jones and Walsh.
Ardboe timing their form to perfection coming towards the championship but they have done this before only to go out with a whimper as soon as they meet a decent team. Do they have any chance against Omagh? Cassidy obviously a massive help at Centre Back. Why was DD Mulgrew missing last night?

He was playing. No. 10?
That was Odhran Mulgrew who was wearing 10.

Fianna to go down ?
Is there not another 8 league games still to play?

8 games isn't much. This would be the run in for any other league and Coalisland are in around the drop.
You'd think Edendork will get their act together now that they have access to county men (maybe).
Coalisland seem to have alot of their harder games over them though. Will be interesting!

Armagh league games finish up on Friday and Tyrone still have 8 games to play, though Armagh championship is going back to round robin format this year.

Coalisland surely will benefit from the return of McKernan and Hampsey as well?  Would Tiarnan Quinn not be anywhere near county standard was always impressed with him when saw him.

McKernan was definitely injured the week after the Kerry game. Not sure if he's back yet unless anyone else would know??
McKernan, Hampsey and Quinn all started and played against Galbally on Monday. The only player missing for Coalisland was Ruairi McHugh.

Moortown at home to Coalisland on Friday is a big game in the whole relegation picture. Some turnaround from a year ago when Coalisland were giving points out to make sure Clonoe got relegated.

How did Loughmacrory do last year at u 17 level. I see they are in the grade 2 at minor level this year
They would have been one of the stronger teams, just behind Donaghmore. I have heard that their better minors have been told to concentrate on Senior football and won't be playing minor.
Maybe one of the down sides of running u16's early and u18's at the tail end.
A lot of clubs taking this approach apparently:
Loughmacory with Donaghy and McElholm, Ardboe with Devlin, Donaghmore with Grimes, Hughes and Clarke, Omagh with Daly and Haigney, Fintona with Donnelly. All not playing minors to focus on Senior.
The problem is, if for example Loughmacory, dropping to division 2 might be fine missing those players. But when seniors finish and minor potentially still going at the knockout stage do those players then rejoin and create massively one sided games.

I would assume mid September similar to last year. With the first round of non starred games what way are teams looking with their main men back? Any truth in Coalisland picking up 2 serious injuries?

Saw Mckernan in a moon boot. Don't know how serious or how long he'll be out.
Could Coalisland be relegated?
