Quote from: imtommygunn on February 07, 2024, 12:36:50 PMPiers Morgan is outraged  ???

Needs some privacy somewhere surely.

That tabloid nonsense channel he's on GB news is blaming Meghan and Harry for Charles current health problems.

Is Morgan on GB news? I think it's Talk TV.
Morgan is an arsehole (who claims he's Irish) but I don't think he's a GB news arsehole
His father was from Offaly

Or possibly Galway...

Quote from: clarshack on February 07, 2024, 10:37:34 PMParkrun have removed a lot of data from their website in relation to different types of records. Disappointing as while I was never going to come even remotely close to breaking any records I did find it interesting at times looking at different parkrun stats. Not sure what the real reason for this is but have seen it suggested that it's about males running in the female category and getting course records?

Those damn transgenders, taking all the parkrun medals and prize money...

We've had it here in New South Wales for a few years now - it's on glass as well, but only up to a certain size. Intended to be only the ones that would often be drunk away from home - they assume the rest would go into recycling anyway. So beer and soft drinks are in but wine bottles and big milk containers are out.

Seems to have reduced litter quite a bit if nothing else.

Celtic will now move on and personally I'm not interested in the rumours of old faces coming back and I also wouldn't be convinced by the thought of employing from within.  Hopefully whoever brought in Ange is involved again this time.

Well, the man who has often come in after Ange has left a club - and who also won the J-League with Yokohama Marinos last year - is, err, Kevin Muscat.  ;D

I will say his teams play a better style of football than he ever produced himself as a player.

Bryson is just looking to put more complexity into a border poll. So you'd have to get a majority in the 6, a majority in the 26 and a majority in Britain. At the very least it puts a whole lot more cost into it. But also if you established the principle, you could then also get the rest of the UK voting on Scottish independence to make that harder. And they know that Scottish independence - if it passed - would be a catalyst for the end of the UK.

The defence looked to me as though they are still in the process of adapting to new structures. The deeper defence in the first half worked well for a while until Fermanagh were able to work out where the spare man was once the man on the ball got swamped. I think there's a fair bit of upside if they can get better at spotting and eliminating the options for the ball to be moved out in the way it was. That run of 4 or 5 points in the back end of the first half was the killer in the end.

Entertaining game all the same.

I'd say all the complaints about the infrastructure being unchanged from when he left are fair - we know there's been no investment since the Glazers took over.

For whatever reason he made it personal with ETH with the respect comments as though he could have fixed years of problems in a few months. That's where he's blown himself up.

Not taking the Saudi deal is interesting. Suggestion before the season was that other European clubs were interested but not to pay him what United were. So he wants to play on the big stage still and also maintain the wages. It's not about the money for its own sake, only that a pay cut (or going to a lower league) would be a sign of admitting he's not as valuable as he once was. And he can't face that.

1982 - I remember Gerry Armstrong's goal vs Spain and Bryan Robson's goal in the first few seconds against France. But it's the Italy - Brazil game with Rossi's hat trick that really sticks in the mind after all these years.
