Quote from: Blowitupref on February 23, 2024, 02:16:10 PMI see just when Rasmus Hojlund has found the goal scoring form he's ruled out with a muscle injury for the next 4 or 5 games. While a blow to United it's a boost to Villa and Spurs ahead of them.

Disaster. Clubs medical department needs overhauled.

It has to be completely gutted. Look at the players with constant long term injuries they have had over the last 10 years. Jones, Shaw, Martial and now Mount, Martinez and Malecia can't get fit at all.

Martinez out replaced by the clumsy and error prone Maguire. Shaw out and replaced by a 4th choice centre back lindelof. Hollund out and will likely be replaced by Rashford who won't put in the work rate of Hollund and Rashford moved from the wing could mean Anthony restored to the starting team.

The one thing the injuries highlights is how weak the squad is with zero strength in depth, Jim Radcliffe and Co need to focus improving the squad starting this summer before even thinking about some state of the art Old Trafford.

Is that him out of the city game?

Yeah.

Onana (on form)
Dalot-Varane-Martinez-Shaw
Maino-Casemiro-Bruno
Garnacho-Hojlund-Rashford (on form)

Thats a fairly strong team that you'd expect to best most teams, but theres 0 behind that, 2 or 3 injuries and the team is woeful again and carrying a few duds.

It's a weird one when the most expensive squad ever assembled in the history of the game has no strength in depth.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Look where the money went. 160 million on Maguire and Antony for starters.

Milltown Row2

If they don't get top 4 with the most expensive team ever assembled (net  ;D) they'll have bottled it :o

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

United have given up defending for lent

That defeat and win for Villa ends whatever slim hope there ever was for a top 4 finish. Fulham deserved their win but the two goals conceded pretty much summed up United this season.  1st truly woeful defending from set piece. 2nd goal when pushing hard for a winner themselves they get caught out on the break, Maguire not wanting to tackle as he was booked and Lindelof couldn't get back as injured taken off soon after.

A bad result against a Fulham side who had only won once in the previous 5 games.
All teams will drop points in the race for top 4 though so Man United still in it, especially with their very expensive squad .

Yeah I think you get an extra point for every 10 million spent or something so United will be grand.

Stupid results like that show how important proper recruitment is this year.

Unbelievably still need a left back, centre back (2 if Varane leaves) centre midfielder (2 if Casemiro leaves) and another attacker (have a feeling Greenwood will be back)

I'd agree all morals go out window and they will have them back.probably a good move to announce he staying the same week if England win euros to take media spotlight off it.
