Quote from: shark on February 12, 2024, 08:38:52 AMIt's based on this years results alone. All Italian sides could be dumped out next round. Estimation of England getting an extra spot is currently 75%

Yeah its based around the co-efficient and how each country's team perform. On the villa game I thought they were good value for the win. Villa threatened of course but United could easily had more goals as well on another day.

Pleased for McT to get another goal and contribution, Dalot's ball in was a peach and I think his overall game is massively imptoved. Mainoo again showing real quality throughout the game.

Capt Pat

I see Brailsford hasn't been long in getting Uniteds energy levels up. The rest of the season will be easy for them.

At this rate they could catch Arsenal ::)

Signs of improvements off the pitch which are badly needed, absolute disgrace how much money has been wasted with no joined up thinking. Its not just the players we've signed its the one's we've missed out like Haaland, Bellingham & Rice.

Take out Mainoo & Garnacho and Ten Hag would probably have been sacked already, they've saved his job and could be the bit of luck he needs to succeed.

A big summer ahead, United have the makings of a decent side and with a 2-3 good signings it could transform this team.

I'd written Dalot off but appears to be making a miraculous recovery but its still early days yet so not getting carried away but if he continues this form its one less headache for this summer. Maguire doing ok but he needs to go, 2 huge mistakes against West Ham have quickly forgotten about after a good performance against Villa. He needs to play every week to be effective and thats not going too happen next season. Get rid and keep Varane for another 12 months but thats looking unlikely.

Big results with Spurs and Newcastle dropping points. Top 4 is Man United's to lose.

Good results for United. Still 5th off Villa though even with a win tomorrow. Long way to go I'm sure all the contenders will drop plenty of points.

8 points away from 4th, if Utd don't make that up they should get relegated, be the biggest bottling job of the PL.

Newcastle in free fall, be lucky to not get sucked into relegation battle

Spurs being Spurs

Three points earned against a Luton side side whom at home have pushed Man City,Arsenal all the way and drew with Liverpool.  After a good start to the 1st half Luton was allowed to turn the rest of the half into chaos and in truth United was lucky to be leading 2-1 at half time.  Subs at half time brought more control to the game and had United taken just one of their 4 big chances 2nd half they would have won that match more comfortably.

Yeah was a real giant killing win for Man United alright. The most expensive squad ever assembled in the history of the game vs the mighty Luton Town.

Luton will take some hammering during the week, they'll get relegated, playing at home against a poor middle table team they could have put more into that game, especially when there's a 45 year old playing center back

Jaysus going by highlights that game could have been about 6-3

Utd should have won the game 10-0. some poor finishing. Onana with yet another mistake to allow them back into the game.
The mistake for the first Utd goal from the Luton player. Christ almighty. If one of the under 14s did that in soccer you'd never play him again. How some of these players get to this level is beyond me.

Sums the season up there in one performance.

Sublime to the ridiculous, difference being that previously they would have drawn or lost that type of game but they managed to get over the line. On another day it could have been a really comfortable victory but they don't see, capable of it at the moment.

In the past they used to call it winning ugly but this team doesnt seem to get that type of cover even when they win.
