Errigal Ciaran V Donaghmore - Errigal at a canter
Ardboe V Trillick - Trillick to prove an upset if full hand available
Strabane V Dromore - Dromore by a few

Derrytresk V Aghyaran - Aghyaran to shade it after a strong start
Loughmacrory V Eskra - Loughmacrory to carry on good start

Speaking to a fella recently who said a referee told him there are only approximately 40-45 referees left in the county after numerous retirements this year.
If this is the case, surely there wont be enough to cover all senior & reserve fixtures on a given Sunday where the full programme goes ahead?

Any thoughts on thenew proposals to seed the championship based on the previous years league placings?

Where did you see these new proposals? Are there any other proposals?

Heard yesterday that they plan to start the leagues on 12th April, with the Championship beginning on the Weekend of 23rd May and running over the 30th May Weekend also. With possibly 1 week break in the summer from 11th-19th July. Anyone heard any truth to these rumours?

Was anyone in attendance at any of the Ulster League games or friendlies at the weekend?
Any teams shaping up well? Any new faces on any teams?

Anyone heard any talk of championship yet? Heard recently that 'they' intend to begin the championship in early May, so as McCarron's transfer can go through and able to play for Tyrone! Another case of Harte making the calls. No consideration for the clubs who loss in the 1st round, loss players to America, etc and struggle for the next 6 months!

i would say there are men in Div 2 and Div 3 on at least £60 a session, plus a game on a Sunday.

I would love to see a breakdown of these 'expenses' for managers. Any man who is taking anymore than £50 a night all inclusive from a club is not a real GAA man - and even that is alot. Taking a team is not for making a profit, its for the love of the game. How can it be justified to pay managers that sort of money, yet the players making the same committment get nothing. And then take into consideration the youth footballers - its like taking blood from a stone trying to even get permission from most committees for the money to buy them 5 new footballs, yet they are ok to pay these 'expenses'!!

Any updates on management in Division 2?

Sad to see Tony Scullion managing Pomeroy - word was he was on for coming back to the Tones where he is loved but needed time to sort some things out. Kildress then decided to appoint B Dillon as they had a chance to get him and he was being sought by other clubs.

Would have been great to have Scullion back but he's away to our rivals beside us - Anyhow Dillon is a good manager too from what I hear and I'm sure he'll do a good job anyway!

Kildress v Pomeroy is a fixture I'm really looking forward to this year now.

I thought with the likes of Scullion working for the Ulster Council their hands were tied and they could only work within their own club?
Or has he help from within the Pomeroy club to get around this?

Are Moortown going with their minor management of last year? seen on here previously Conleth Gilligan linked to them, but i'm sure he would wish to stick with Derrytresk now they're promoted!

Any of ye at the match want to give us a run down on who played well and who didn't
How did Padraig McNulty do at MF?

Was it the usual slow build up or any long balls kicked into Sean. I hope Sean stays at FF for the season cos whilst he is great at running with the ball he is creates havoc in there and knows how to win a free. McCurry and any other CF will benefit with a ball winner at FF I think

How did the defence fair?
What age is young McShane and what's his best position? what's he good at?

I wasnt at the game but from what I was told McNulty was didnt make much of an impact. The red card for C.Cavanagh left him tussling round the middle on his own, it wasnt a true reflection - another game would give a better indication.

I also hear McCurry was played in a more withdrawn role - can anyone shed any light on this? I thought he would be the ideal man playing alongside a ball winner like S.Cavanagh!?

I hear McShane came on and held his own which is positive news. Just goes to show there is quality players outside the top tier, and some who may never have gotten the chance yet!?

What did T Kernan do?

Congratulations to Omagh - I see they are favourites to win outright now with the bookies - it would be some achievement.

In other news Kildress have appointed a new manager - Barry Dillon (trainer of Ardboe last year and Jordanstown)

Any other managerial appointments? Mc Cabe still with Donaghmore? What about the Moy, is Philly Jordan staying on? Eglish keeping Clarke and McGahan?

Only confirmed change to date appears to be McKinless taking over Ardboe - apart from that have heard nothing else. I hear quite a few teams are on the lookout but no concrete appointments yet as far as I am aware but stand corrected. I would say that all of the teams you mention above will remain the same

If there are quite a number of teams on the lookout for a manager, what all managers are available on the market? Any up and coming coaches/managers in the county and beyond worth their reckoning?
