Aghyaran v dungannon replay set for Sunday.  Mcnulty getting married on friday. Very little talk of the drawn game on here, anyone at it?

Yes I was at it, Dungannon bossed the 1st half but didn't make that dominance count.  Horribly low scoring.  Aghyaran would have thought the game was up before the equaliser.  Hard to know who to fancy next day out.  Wasn't aware McNulty was getting Married this week.  That wedding already cost them a championship maybe cost them league promotion as well

I'm sure when he booked his wedding he thought the league would be long over. Extra time could have been played on saturday also

Extra time and common sense?? Surely not, then how would the county board make more money from the replay?

Such nonsense.
How much will they make from a  replay?

Enough to make a few pound and the expense of the club player. Ask most.club players would they rather a replay or extra time to get the season finished this time of year and the answer would be extra time. Another year of fixtures butchered by the county board

In fairness the fixtures worked quite well considering me were in an AI final without a ball kicked in the champ. Credit where its due.

How many weeks of the sunmer were senior and intermediate teams sitting idle? Then ram championship matches off right left and centre, some overlapping other games. Then ending in teams not bothering fielding or travelling towards end if tne league. How many reserve games were not olayed this season from top to bottom this season. Must be the highest I remember. Not a bit womder with players falling away over the summer with no games to play. 30 or 40 men out in January busting their balls only to end up having no football to play in the summer. And after all it's meant to be a sunmer sport not a winter one

Are there any proposals for the 2019 season as in fixtures to better streamline the layout so to prevent the same 9-10 week window between games in the summer? Or proposals for the improvement of reserve football?

County board have issued a fixtures plan for rest of the year.

9th Sept- League game
16th and 23rd Sept- Championship 1st Rnd

Week after that is QF and then SF. Then ends with league game, Championship final and then final ACL game.

Is there any confirmation of what ACL Rounds will be played what weekend? Still Rounds 8, 9 and 10 left to play.
Surely a Round could have been played this weekend? Still outside the 13 day rule. Will be 10 weeks from 1st July to 9th September, which isn't good enough in my opinion - No matter how well Tyrone are doing!

Dates for fixtures for this Weekend have changed again, with games on Friday and Saturday now.
Anyone got the inside information on this change?
Near impossible to plan a weekend with dates constantly changing.

Did anyone hear Garvaghy was on lockdown last night? No-one allowed in but the Senior Team.
I know an Underage Goalkeeping Coaching Camp was cancelled. All because Mickey wanted no-one there whilst training was ongoing. Worse than Donegal if this is true.
Did anyone hear about it?

Omagh shocked by Strabane led by an Endas man not considered up to the job in his home club.

True story! Delighted for him...the bottom of the table is going to the wire!

Omagh struggled to beat Strabane last year too. Jury still out on strabane's new manager. They don't seem to have imoved any from last year

They've lost a fair few lads to America etc. so if they stay the same, they've probably improved in reality.

Great result for The Derg yesterday.

Yeah and their ref did them a nice wee favour up in Gortin yesterday too...

What did their ref do in the Gortin game?
Massive result for them considering Castlederg were 2 divisions apart last year!!
Division 2 is wide open at top and bottom - Down to the wire.

On Quick review of these fixtures, it is evident that some teams ie Eskra, Moortown, Gortin, Cookstown will play at least 4 of their first 5 games away from home. How is this fair? What happened the good old Home then Away system? Yes, Starred fixtures will knock this out of sync eventually, but the fixtures should at least begin with the Home then Away system. Thoughts?

Notes:
Badoney - Glenelly/Gortin
Gael Naomh Padraig - Augher/Clogher/Eskra
Noamh Padriag - Brocagh/Derrytresk

I counted 42 U14s less Donaghmore and Loughmacrory is 40 Clubs. Take into account Badoney has 1 extra, Clan Na Gael has 1 extra (Owen Roes), Gael Naomh Padraig has 2 extra and Naomh Padraig has 1 extra, that totals 45 teams.

I counted 43 Minor Clubs. Take into account Badoney has 1 extra, Clan Na Gael has 1 extra (Owen Roes) and Gael Naomh Padraig has 2 extra, that totals 47 teams.

We should have 48 Senior Clubs in tyrone. My question is what clubs are not fielding at youth level? 3 unaccounted for at u14s and 1 unaccounted for at Minors. Dregish is 1 I can account for.

Also, how do clubs in amalgamations feel they are working for them? Positive or Negative?

For the past few years, the U14 and Minor Seasons have began Mid February to March Time. With possibly less than 4 Weeks until start of these Seasons, no Grades or start dates have been announced. Anyone shed any light on this? Problems on the Hill?

Pick a couple of teams there local expert to see if they could compete with the big guns????

With the Geography of Tyrone it is hard to break it down, but see below my Teams per Area - Trying to keep numbers even as possible.

NORTH (8) - Kildress, Gortin, Aghyaran, Castlederg, Owen Roes, Clan NaGael, Newtownstewart, Glenelly
WEST (7) - Loughmacrory, Drumragh, Fintona, Dregish, Drumquin, Tattyreagh, Beragh
SOUTH (8) - Eglish, Augher, Moy, Eskra, Aghaloo, Clogher, Kileeshil, Errigal Ciaran
EAST (10) - Dungannon, Derrylaughan, Moortown, Stewartstown, Derrytresk, Brackaville, Brockagh, Killyman, Cookstown, Rock.

If you agree with the rough layout, could you pick your best team/squad from them Clubs?

Tyrone / Re: Tyrone Club Fixtures

I would propose 2 Scenarios for Senior Football:
Scenario 1.) Return to 4 Leagues of 12 Teams. Each team plays 11 games at home and 11 away from home. Starred Fixtures would be scrapped, with County Players playing in a minimum of 11 games, playing each team at least once. This provides the average Club Player with more League Football, whilst also assuring the County Player of still playing the minimum 10/11 games as currently.
Scenario 2.) Keep current Format. Play each team in your league once, with 15 League games for each Club, and 5 of which are starred. Doesn't eliminate any of the current problems for the Club Plyer. Possibly reintroduce the League Cups, but teams also loss interest in these with no effect on League or Championship.

For Reserve Football, I would propose splitting the connection between Senior & Reserves. Teams would begin the 2017 campaign based on their Standing from the 2016 Season. Fixtures would be standalone on a separate evening (Possibly Fridays, with Seniors on Saturday/Sunday). Reserve teams could then be promoted/relegated depending on their own performances and not Seniors. This would alleviate a lot of hammerings in Reserve football. And, may also keep young lads interested. Plus, have the League wrapped up by August to begin Championship. Team for Championship could not involve anyone who played the Previous Senior Championship. Reserve League Squad also determined by previous Senior Campaign or Senior League Games that current Season. Possible Separate East/West Leagues with Winners of each side to meet in Division 1/2/3 Finals?

With Ireland's participation in the Euro 2016 Championships upcoming, has there been much talk of many Club Players heading away for a week or 2 to watch? Or Clubs looking games changed to accomodate.
I am almost sure I remember something similar in 2012, but cant remember what accomodations were made?
Tyrone play on Sunday 19th June. Possibility for free weekend on 12th and 19th to suit?

Anyone know the schedule of Minor Football for the remainder of the Season? If they play the Season without a break, the games will be:
Minor League S/F - Wednesday 4th May
Minor Championship S/F - Wednesday 11th May
Minor League S/F - Wednesday 18th May
Minor Championship S/F - Wednesday 25th May.

This would be right into the middle of Exams Period which I would say alot of parents may object to.

Any opinions?

Just wondering what's the latest story with Niall McKenna?
I know he's been in and out of the panel over the years and had a few injuries but will we see him back in the team this year.

Actually looking at the 2008 AI winning minor team not too many made it through to the seniors.
Is McNabb sitting out the national league or where has he been this year?
Who was C.O'Neill at 15?

T Harney; F McQuaid, G Teague, R Tierney (0-02); S MacRory, P Harte (0-01, 0-01 pen), R McNabb (0-01); N McKenna (0-02), R Keenan; C Gervin (0-01), D McNulty, M Donnelly (0-02); K Coney (0-05), P McNeice (0-03, 0-03f), C O'Neill (1-03, 0-02f).

How many of that team still play football for club, never mind county?
Tim Harney - Transferred to Pearse Og in Armagh, Dont think he played much last year
Ronan Tierney - Havent heard his name mentioned for Errigal unless he plays 3rds?
Stephen McRory - Same as Tierney
Diarmaid McNulty - Heard talk he doesnt play anymore.

Add to the equation that the likes of Gavin Teague, Niall McKenna, Conor Gervin, Kyle Coney, Paddy McNeice and Conor O Neill (Dromore) always seem to be injured or not playing regularly for club.

I dont know all who was on the bench that year, but I would safely say alot of them dont play anymore either?

So called Golden Generation
