Below shows my interpretation of league fixtures for R6 to R15 of division 1 and 2 depending how far Tyrone get in All-Ireland Series.

The Ulster Club Preliminary Round last year was 05/11/22 for Senior and Intermediate.
If Tyrone reach the All-Ireland Final, that leaves only 4 weeks to play Club Championship, which usually takes at least 6 weeks, with 1 week break prior to starting.

Has anyone ever visited the transfers and sanctions section of the main GAA.ie website? https://www.gaa.ie/the-gaa/rules-regulations/transfers-and-sanctions
On there you could view live inter-county transfer lists and foreign sanctions.
The link to view these however seems to be broken. Anyone know what has happened?

It doesn't seem to be working for me either. A pity as I always found it interesting to have a browse of it from time to time.

Should be getting this option, which seems to limit access now to the following:

Its the actual live transfer list that i was referring to. The pop up states "This link has been disabled.

Senior
League: Omagh - new emergening talents of Daly, Miller, Strain, McCaffrey, Taggart, Dan and Thomas Haigney, McNamee and Corry show the futures bright and an excellent league campaign and some silverware can push them towards championship success over the next few years.
Championship: Errigal Ciaran - Easier route to the final (Killyclogher, Donaghmore, Omagh) with the other main contenders Trillick, Dromore and Dungannon on the other side of the draw. If they can keep their main men fit, they have a golden opportunity of back to back Championships. Dark Horses : Dungannon.
Relegation: Edendork and Moortown - 6 Way mini league at the bottom of Senior with Moortown, Greencastle, Donaghmore, Galbally, Eglish and Edendork all in contention for the drop. Emigration has impacted all the six teams and it will be interesting to see who copes best with their losses. I am picking Moortown because on paper they appear the weakest and a lack of results after a quick start last year is a worrying sign for them and Edendork who are always hindered by the Starred Game system and having to play catch up and the rumoured return of Niall Morgan to nets will be a big loss out the field for them. Relegation Play Off - Greencastle



Intermediate
League: Derrylaughan - have always faired better as a league team than Championship team and think they have the experience and quality in Carney, Gervin and the Kennedys to mount a consistent challenge in the league. Pomeroy losing too many men travelling, Moy will be without Conroy for the majority of the league and the transition of new players will see Clonoe give up points in the league. Promotion Play Off - Pomeroy
Championship: Clonoe - in McClure and McAliskey they have two of the best players in the county and that bit of experience in big games that should edge them over the other contenders in Moy, Derrylaughan and Pomeroy. Dark Horses - Gortin.
Relegation: Tattyreagh straight down with their expected departures. Kileeshil, Rock and Naomh Eoghan will also struggle for the same reason. Would suspect Naomh Eoghan rely more on Aidan McSorely than the other two teams do on Pascal Donaghy and Liam Nugent and have more of an all round team than Naomh Eoghan, so I think they follow Tattyreagh down.
If PlayOffs are still in place I fancy the Div2 team to go down to the Div3 team. Relegation Play Off - Rock

Junior
League: Cookstown - Bit of experience from 2021 will see them build a consistent league campaign to go up. The other contenders, Aghaloo (injuries) and Drumragh and Fintona (young) won't be fit to match their consistency over 16 games.
Championship: Fintona - Fantastic talent coming through and great work underage might see them light up the junior championship. Have an excellent route to a final (Urney, Drumquin, Aghaloo) and with the talent in the ranks, could take the big step. Dark Horses and Promotion Play Off Team - Drumragh.

Is Liam Nugent (Rock) away travelling also?
Addiitona to above, in Division 2 alone - McDonagh, Darcy, Harkin and Cartin (Tattyreagh) / Doyle, O'Neill and Donaghy (Kileeshil) / Gormley (Strabane) / Woods, McKenna (Pomeroy) Supposedly away, and im sure there are more ive missed.

Has anyone used the archive dropdown in fixtures/results on tyronegaa.ie? Alot of competitions appear to be missing in mens football.
For example in 2022, i cant find any mens adult leagues or boys underage football? However all ladies categories seem to be viewable.
A quick review of other years and would appear to be the same issue.

The old Moortown pitch at Tobin Park was an interesting place to get out of at times....

For the All-Ireland Club Intermediate & Junior Championship to be equal and remain competitive, every county must abide by the same rules.

In Tyrone there are 16 teams in Senior and Intermediate, with the remaining teams playing Junior championship - Essentially Galbally are the 17th best and Stewartstown are the 33rd best teams in Tyrone for 2022.

Kerry Senior championship has 16 teams, however 8 of these teams are 'Divisional' such as East Kerry, therefore only 8 teams are official clubs. So, excluding the 'Divisional' teams, that means Rathmore are the 9th best team in Kerry football in 2022 - Using league positions, the equivalent in Tyrone would be Ardboe in 2022.

There are a further 16 clubs in Kerry Intermediate football, meaning Fossa are the 25th best team in Kerry football in 2022 - Using league positions, the equivalent in Tyrone would be Aghyaran/Owen Roes in 2022.

It cant be fair that on the All-Ireland stage, the 9th best team in Kerry play the 17th best in Tyrone for the Intermediate All-Ireland, or the 25th best team in Kerry play the 33rd best in Tyrone for the Junior All-Ireland.

The Divisional Championships they play are a fantastic idea and give Intermediate and Junior players the chance to play Senior Championship, but if these All-Irelands are to remain viable, every county needs to be entering teams at an equal par.

Anything beyond this would be breaking new ground and more than likely result in appeals.
Worth noting the Moy had a player sent off for striking in the same incident, so that adds another layer to how this is dealt with.

Bottom line, the injuries incurred are unacceptable. I do struggle however to differentiate between one incident and another purely down to "damage caused" per se.

If a game this weekend has a similar one punch striking incident, are we to say this is fine as long as the player felled gets back on his feet and carries on? Obviously it is not fine, but this is normally the attitude with these things, as they happen regularly throughout a year's football. This one is especially tricky due to what happened the two lads, which again, should never happen at a football match.

All in all I wouldn't foresee much more than the usual lengthy individual punishments, what else can you do within the realms of sensible application of rules?

You know what will happen. Same as with every other incident, sweet FA and then it will all happen again somewhere else and somewhere else and the GAA will wonder why they have a problem. I understand Doris from Clonoe is finished now anyway.
The issue is much bigger than Moy v Clonoe or Tyrone GAA. It needs a national strategy, coupled with heavy sanctions from HQ for player and club. Stamp it right out before there is a fatality.

I would assume the same problems occur all over the country. No linesmen or neutral umpires at league games meaning the referee has no chance of seeing many of these incidents unfold. A lot of the time even when there are neutral officials and incidents are seen yellow cards are issued rather than the appropriate action. We're effectively telling our club players that we can't guarantee their wellbeing because our referees can't see everything that is going on.

One of the incidents in the weekends game was seen and a red card issued but the punishments don't tally with the actions.

A Kildress man told me 2 of their officials had to act as "neutral" umpires with no officials sent to assist the referee in Edendorks play-off win v Gortin

A win on Sunday doesn't really do anything for them does it in terms of avoiding even the play offs? Galbally/pomeroy/edendork will be a tough play off final match too if they get as far as that stage. As RedHand says they are in serious bother. There'll be some inquests in Clonoe if they do suffer relegation.

There is Gortin's motivation for the play-offs

Confirmed that the 2023 season will be three divisions as is. Top position in league wins league and is promoted. Championship winner is promoted. Bottom two teams are relegated. No playoffs.

Well that sucks - the indication given at the start of the league was that there would be play-offs. Given our current form, I'd have been looking at us aiming to finish in a promotion play-off spot i.e. top 6. But now there's no point bothering about the league. Only games involving Stewartstown, Aghaloo & Strabane now realistically matter in Division 3, for everyone else it's eight more rounds of league games to warm up for the championship.

Where did you see this confirmation? I was also understanding playoffs would return if retention of 3 divisions.

Has anyone heard about the outcome of the ACL restructuring proposals for 2023 onwards? Deadline for clubs to reply was Friday 18th March - 3 weeks tomorrow.

We are 5 weeks out from the proposed start date of league football on 6th May - Still no sign of fixtures. Is there even a master plan?
Is this been held up by Greencastle fiasco? Or Tyrone extended squad to be reduced for star fixtures?

Ironically Greencastle had a dispute with Moortown over an underage player in an u21 final many years ago - Any Mals men able to confirm?

If Aghyaran are successful in any form of appeal it will open a can of worms in Division 2. If the lad concerned played against any other team and those games had a direct bearing on the teams relegated (which it's bound to if he did play) they will also appeal I'm sure. Could be about to get very messy if true.

Or County Biard will just dismiss any appeals knowing the shit show that could follow...

There is a 3 day time limit on objections based on the validity of a team.

I was basing my reply of Tyrone11234s post. If what you're saying is true then that's that, too late to do anything about any indiscretion now.

So basically any club can break any of the rules and hope that the opposing club does not report them within 3 days?
They done it more than once and knew what they were doing!
So much for a club's integrity when that is their approach!

Any truth in Aghyaran making an appeal to county board over greencastle allegedly playing an under age player in a senior league game?

Not 100% sure on the rule for age going into a senior team. A player who is either still minor or not long out of it played part in the last league game vs Kildress from what I've heard. Be interesting to see how it fairs out if true but don't think Greencastle would have played him if that was the case

On an Inquiry by the Committee-in-Charge - Forfeiture of
Game without Award to the Opposing Team.
(ii) Player:
For breach in Under 16 or Younger Grades – 4 weeks
Suspension.
For breach in Minor or Under 21 Grades – 24 weeks
Suspension.
(iii) Person(s)-in-Charge of the Team in which the
breach is committed – 48 weeks Suspension.
(iv) Chairperson and Secretary of a Club:
For breach in Minor or Under 21 Grades – 48 weeks
Suspension.
For Breach of lower Age Limit:

By my understanding, if the lad played minor football (u17) in 2021, then he is not eligible to play senior football in 2021.
County Board have a big decision to make here - Whatever their decision, it will surely set a precedent.
