Hey I was wondering how a club can make money on selling its merchandise. Someone told me that if the order of club gear comes through the club then they get a decent rebate compared to if someone orders off O'Neills website. But does anyone know how this is calculated?

Is it a standard deal for clubs or does it vary from club to club

There are clubs given a new set of senior jerseys foc every year by ON due to the volume of sales on leisure gear and kit, generally clubs with a sizable underage - you really need to talk to ON to understand what they offer as a standard, and then test it if you think your volumes merit a better deal. Personally I would recommend running a club shop at your premises where items are purchased in bulk before, availing of club bulk pricing (cheaper than online price), you can then set a price to members that isn't as high as ON online prices, saving your members money. This takes more effort, and you won't get the online shop credit (ask about this) as online sales will drop. Few different ways of doing it, depending on size of club and amount of time you are prepared to spend scoping it and what you want to achieve, weigh them up and figure whats best for you.

Generally O'Neill's give 10% kickback to the club when orders are direct through rep in North anyway. This can be done directly through direct order with rep or club hub. (online shop open for limited time through private link). Also prices much cheaper than through the retail O'Neill's website.
Some clubs also decide to add on a % as well to the prices.
