Who is in it?
Trillick/Dromore v ?

Couldn't work this out myself so checked Tyrone website who say it is Donaghmore
Quarter finals were played on 1st September and we haven't even moved on after 2 months. Farcical by the county board
Obviously Sludden looking after his own in this case...

I believe it's actually Dromore who are appealing the decision to award the game to Trillick - it's at the DRA in Dublin.

I am aware of that but surely they should be thrown out. Refusing to play penalties and then delay competition by 2 months, especially if as other posters suggest - previous offenders who done this were thrown out of their competition.

Yeah, but is that not what they're appealing? Being thrown out of the comp.

They're entitled to appeal that but it seems to be taking a while

rrhf

Seems to be taking a while. Id imagine the county will have to nominate.

Yes Dromore refused to take penalties at the end of ET apparently, but they havent been kicked out of the competition unlike other teams who've done the same previously. Would they have any powerful connections in the county board ?

Which other teams in Tyrone were kicked out of the a competition after refusing to take penalties?

https://teamtalkmag.com/under-13-grade-1-league-final/

Both teams put out, game wasn't replayed.

Did Eglish and Carrickmore not just share the title that year?

I'd be optimistic for next year though. If Killeeshil can get their act together they could win an Ulster Junior even with a Division 1 Cavan side (Knockbride) being in the mix.

I'd expect Moortown to win the Intermediate Championship in Tyrone and give Ulster a good rattle like they did in 2021. They were the only team that got close to Steelstown who won the All-Ireland and Moortown are a better side now. Can count themselves unlucky enough to be back in Duvison 2.

Errigal ran Glen close last year and Trillick were unlucky today so the Tyrone Senior Champions aren't far away. They just could do with a bit more luck when they get to the provincial stage. But who comes out of the Tyrone SFC next year is anyone's guess.

How can you possibly 'expect' Moortown to win the most competitive intermediate championship in the country

Is John McElholm still involved with Pomeroy in 2024?

BIGONE

I see Coalisland advertising for Expressions of Interest as well.

Coalisland for me would be better off going internal. Would some of their older players coming to the end of their playing days not be interested in a player/manager role?

Surely it's time for Thornton to take that job on? Though not sure if their prospects are any better next year especially if Tiernan Quinn is now on the county squad and missing started games. He pulled them out of some holes last season.
