Teamtalk report that Greencastle have won their appeal and will play in Divison 1.
Are we allowed to play suspended players now?

That is not correct at all!

It is a terrible decision

Staggering that

Be interesting to hear the reasoning of the DRA decision, was it a technicality or lack of evidence or what...?

Again just from talking to other ones so this not confirmed, apparently kildress never had permission to record the game so the evidence was thrown out and without that video there was no case

How is there no fixtures out yet a month away from the start of the league?

Back to these posts again  ;D

They’ll be out, think there was meeting last week to try and organise this. So I’m sure the club secs will have a possible fixture list

Well that kind of disorganised attitude has antrim football where it is.

A meeting to try and organise the fixture less would ideally take place before you announce the start date. It is a difficult task but even taking it from the start of January that is month to do it.

Apologies for asking an actual question about football and not discussing my birthday night out.

More important question, are the creggan men going at it today?

Plenty of time to celebrate after the Ulster club, why put all that effort into winning the damn thing and not test yourself against the best?

You probably answered your own question, put all the effort into winning it therefore celebrated the success.

I would doubt they started the year sacrificing to play an ulster championship match, Cargin may have!

People complaining about under 16s having to pay £3.00 to get into a senior championship game have clearly never sat on a committee or been involved with the administration of a club or county. We are a voluntary organisation living in a commercial world.

When you have to pay physios to treat players or buy equipment to cater for coaching kids unfortunately businesses don't take the line "we are a voluntary organisation so can you give it to us for free"

Some people will just yap about anything

Morgan - 30
McNamee - 30
Harte - 30
M. Donnelly - 30
T. McCann - 30
Sludden - 29
McCurry - 28

Any concerns about any of the lads calling it a day? There's a big fall off once lads hit 30, I doubt too many of them will have more than a handful of seasons and that's really the spine of the team. If we could get another few years of them and then you'd be looking at the minors from this year starting to break through we could be OK.

I think the 03-08 era team had more individually great players in the first 15, but there's 30 or more players where there wouldn't be a massive step down in the current panel. The 03-08 team was breaking new ground and did get caught out when there wasn't something to prove as much. I think they should have won more. This team still isn't rated fully by the nation, has the back-to-back to look to and 3 AIs to aim to surpass. So I think the above players will stick around for another season or two at least.

The above are all brilliant players, but I think there are other good players who could come in and do a job, and there are more players coming through. I think Morgan, as a GK, could keep going for a few years and only now seems to have fully hit his stride, but he does have a young family. Though, Gallen looked very good in that game he played a few years back. McNamee is the only one of the above where I can't yet think of another player with a similar profile to replace him.

McNamee has a club mate who could replace him handy enough there

Why would nobody playing due to covid make you want to transfer from one club to another lol? Nobody is playing

I would have thought young kids will be itching to get playing when this starts up again

Hard fought and Down don't belong in the same sentence. Arrogance about yous is unreal, SP being treated the same as McCorry by the looks of it. Got ahead in the football when the other 5 counties were cementing a real ulster identity!

Was there a meeting in garvaghy last night?

Well I hope that isn't the big news! I couldn give a monkey about the videos but they seem to be implying someone new has been brought in? Why they won't just say is beyond me
