St Pats had to move their game  to Tallaght and Sligo Rovers needed a derogation from UEFA in order to comply with UEFA rules regarding seating.https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2022/0729/1312973-pats-to-play-conference-league-qualifier-at-tallaght/
Most of the top GAA stadiums would breeze the tests.

The League of Ireland is really the poor relation. Some sort of programme to get all Premier League grounds up to UEFA standards.

Inflation could be over in 12-18 months.
At some level of interest it will stop.
It's not a permanent change.

Kilkenny are 2 years behind Man Utd.

They are like the Kerry team who could not beat Tyrone or the other ones who could not beat Down.

There will be huge pressure to deliver an all Ireland imo. Out of respect for Cody there  issue was probably shelved but 8 years is massive for them and on the slippery slope to Cork...

The one aspect which the Shamrock Rovers manager expressed disappointment about was the travel logistics as they try to make their return home with an SSE Airtricity League fixture against Derry City to come on Friday, followed by the first leg against Ferencvaros next week.

They will fly into Shannon Airport on Wednesday morning rather than to Dublin.

"We're really disappointed at that," he said.

"We find out again that (St Patrick's Athletic's opponents CSKA) Sofia are flying in and out of Dublin direct.

"There are serious questions that need to be asked there. How the Irish teams can't do this and it seems like every team that comes to play here can do it. Serious questions need to be asked of people that are making these decisions. It's not acceptable."

2 aspects from today's OTB

Ann Downey of KK camogie said players don't get enough time to prepare for the all Ireland Final and that she would prefer September finals
Because the season is shorter the GAA's ad income is going to be lower

So any news from the club players? Or are you just going to quote county players? the 1%
[/quote
I'm not sure the club players will get to decide. Club schedules are all over the place.
How much advertising do the club games bring in?

Define "all over the place". Or alternatively , just give up commentating (relentlessly) on a topic you know little about.
I didn't realise it was an advertising agency we are all members of.
There is no system. Some counties ran club championships in parallel with the all Ireland. Others did not.

The key feature of this change to the all Ireland was that it was rushed. I am not surprised that the club side is somewhat disorganised . Club was always run independently of county.

Where do you think the money to develop GAA stadiums comes from ? It's not all attendance money.

https://www.rte.ie/sport/hurling/2022/0808/1314592-a-flame-has-gone-out-but-quirke-kept-the-fire-burning/He thanked the referee, the County Board and the opposition, Kilruane McDonagh’s for their compassion on the night. Then, voice breaking, he said they would take a few days to do what they had to do, to say goodbye to their man, their leader.

"Craig Morgan, one of their players and a personal friend of Dillon on the county team, actually knelt down beside him in his hour of need," he said.

"It's tough times on us here and we find it very hard. Dillon was our man."

They aren’t more extreme though as they’ve always been pretty extreme- they aren’t much different. There is a school of thought that brexit will make drugs harder to get in and that does not please the loyalist paramilitaries who would definitely be in the running to be the ones pulling their strings.
That's business as usual when things are ticking over. But anti Protocol when Brexit reduces the economy by more than 5% is a different kettle of fish imo.

At least they know how to win. If Division 3 is too hard, down always try Division 4 .

Man Utd are very poor because of the Glazers so you would think that the share price would be high, with the club flogging all those jerseys in Asia.
But in fact the share price reached a peak in 2018 and has been falling since then.

They are going to review it after the all Ireland final next year.
Does it make sense for MR to be drinking cocktails poolside after the all Ireland Hurling Final?
See tomorrow's Irish News for full analysis.

When have the DUP ever done anything for Sandy Rowe? You're mistaken here in thinking that it is different for them not to look after their own communities. It is not. They are basically tories. Sandy Rowe residents voting for the DUP is akin to people in poor areas in the north of england voting for tories. (same applies to brexit)
They don't do anything  for anybody in the Unionist community . They are working for someone else
Brexit changed the -tories and made them more extremist. Something similar happened to the DUP.

Man Utd have 2 modes- glory glory and mediocre.
It depends on the manager and the context.
2 managers have operated in glory glory mode - Busby and Fergie (time).
When Busby retired in 1969, a series of managers presided over mediocrity until 1986, when Fergie took over.
Fergie left in 2013 . It's only 9 years so far.

Who is pulling the strings of the DUP ?
Take yer pick.. .
Orange Order, UDA, UVF, ERG, International neo Nazism, American fundamentalist Bible thumpers......
I don't think any of those have access to serious money. It's inthermeejit level
The DUP are playing senior hurling with links to the plutocracy i mo thuairim. Brexit does nothing for Sandy Row. So why are the DUP up to their neck in it ?
