I had the pleasure of seeing cirque du soleil 'O' at the bellagio.  This one is all about water and has a specially constructed stage just for this production.  Expensive but well worth it.

I wish big Ger all the luck in the world!!! By god, will he need it! In fairness he overcome alot of hurdles in Slaughtneil at the beginning and came through in the end!

On another point, where have the Laveys and Screen underage teams vanished to these days! Always formidable opponents through the years! Only for Kevin Lynches, Slaughtneil struggle to find any formidable competition. Slaughtneil dominated U12s and down, won U14, U16, minors and U21s this year. Last year they won all bar minors and have been winning feile at their leisure. As much as we enjoy winning in Slaughtneil this is a sad state of affairs! What's the problem? Serious question...!!!

IMO gold is quite expensive at the minute.  When this whole mess gets sorted and it will get sorted, gold will plummit several hundred dollars in a short period of time.  Then I hope to invest for the long term in gold.  Im just going to listen to the experts and hold out.  I'm selling nothing and continue to buy!

NB.  I am by no means an expert so take everything I say witth a pinch of salt.  Always seek professional financial advise!!!

In relation to whether or not the work is being done in Derry.  In general the county is doing as well as they can, same old problems persist, dual players choosing football over hurling, not enough teams, geographical isolation and a horrible shower of B******s in the county board.  This particular crop of players actually deserve a bit more credit as I have seen them and played amoungst them and they are all excellent hurlers.  And three in a row wouldn't be out of the question as the majority of this team are again U21 next year ???

QuoteEddie blaming the effin' ref! Bloody weasel!

Bloody smart weasel, with the IRFU confirming his new 4year contract.  Bloody rediculous, pre-world cup.

Went to game yesterday and enjoyed it.  Dublin were very impressive, strong right down the middle, with the mid-field largely being the difference in the two sides.  BOth midfielders give the oakleafers a lesson on all aspects of the game, scoring, first touch and positional awareness.

Derry however did not let themselves down, in any way!!!  I was delighted with their battling performance.  They let in a bad goal to leave the scores 1-5 to 0-5.  This seemed to kick dublin up the ass and they started to show their worth.  Derry also should have had 2-3 goals, but the difference being Dublin would have taken those chances.  Great to see Dublin hurling in the ascendency! But I think the dubs were well surprised by the oak leafers, having just 6 senior teams and 2 junior teams in the whole county!

For the final, I think Dublin can raise their game.  It was a lose-lose situation for them against Derry but with the right attitude I can't see any reason why the dubs can claim the title. Good luck in the final lads.

PS Great support for dublin at newry, great to see!

 >:( Young Carton being named is not good news for Derry.

I see Michael Kirkpatrick has been kicked of Derry team and squad for having a few beverages down at croker last weekend at the football, then missing a challenge game on Sunday.  Very disappointing for him but shows the changed times in Derry hurling.  Where quality hurlers could do what they want as there wasn't the depth of talent needed.  Also puts out a statement that Derry are taking the game very seriously!

I wish the players and management team all the best at the weekend!  Hopefully with a big support we can give it a lash, and who knows. :)

Division 2 semi final Slaughtneil 1-27 Lamh Dhearg 5-13.  Great victory for Slaughtneil after extra time.  Can anyone shed any light on the other side of the draw Burt/ St Pauls V Middletown?

Massive challenge for Derry, watched Dublin v Offaly on Setanta and they are a dam good team.  Young Brogan being out(?) is a huge help for the oak leafers.  But the shear depth of players in the capital should make for an easy win for Dublin.  I hope our boys put up a good challenge.  Who knows?

Just have to tell the Nation about Derrys unbelievable result in Casement Park tonight.  Unbelievable result for Derry hurling.  A great boost for all the hard working hurling people in this very small hurling county.

Derry 2-16
Antrim 1-18

Bring on the Dubs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great evening for Derry hurling.  Delighted, played well throughout the field 'out-hurling' Antrim in many sectors.  Sean Leo McGoldrick being the difference in the end with two fine individual goals.  Sambo and Woody's silence should be deafening.  Antrim totally underestimated the OAKLEAFERS!   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Derry are not a team of six footers and not getting enough credit for their victory on here.  The are a team of out and out hurlers!  All the players mentioned below are under six foot by the way.  They also have the very accurate free taker in Gareth O'kane and maybe ten senior players so hopefully will put up a good game to antrim
