Will there be extra season tickets on sale in 2017?
Renewals only for Rhubarbs and Jackeens.
I see we can renew our season tickets today, a week early!
Are the cairde ones renewal only too?
Not sure what's going on with the season tickets. No problem renewing the standard adult season tickets but it kept coming up as an error when I went to renew the kids juvenile tickets on our two separate accounts. Then had a go at renewing my fathers Club plus/Cairde Maigheo ticket and it would only allow me to purchase the €99 season ticket, which I duly did in the fear that the other one would not become available. Have emailed them, so hopefully they will be able to sort it out. Anyone else struggling with the renewal of their kids tickets????? Thanks

I think they had cairde tickets on sale last year Larry. Renewals came out first and then cairde tickets went on sale, I think it was around the 15th of November. There's a waiting list for the croke park ones, not sure if that carries over from lat year or whether you have to add your name to a new list this year.

The renewals are not officially open yet, next Monday the 10th. So maybe accounts are not set up fully yet for renewing? My 3 are there alright but I haven't renewed them yet (Adult & 2 juvenile)
My debit card has been hacked today or so I have been informed by my bank. The same one I used to renew my season tickets with last night when I was not supposed to be able to renew according to a mail I received today from seasontickets. I hope there is no link?????
I haven't got an email from them. Should i be worried

Coincidence maybe?
i was told it would be the 10th before i could renew.
They are very inflexible . i have a junior season ticket for my niece but she can rarely go , i asked the if they could convert it to a senior ticket but no go .
I don't see their point as i would be paying more for the season ticket and they are unable to provide me with a new senior one as mayo are renewal only

There is now a waiting list to join the waiting list for the Mayo season ticket!
http://mayoclub51.com/2017-mayo-gaa-season-ticket/
Would there be any chance of Croke Park increasing the number of Mayo season tickets? There were 3,700 (qualified) Mayo season tickets at the final. Don't know how many Dublin Parnell pass, hill 16 and Croke PArk lower and upper season tickets.

Not wise to use a debit card with a direct link to your bank account/savings on any online payment. A Credit card would be a safer option when you renew.
I am interested to hear others opinions/experiences regarding the following issue.
I have purchased 2 Season tickets for myself & my Dad for the past 2 years & have now received my email as regards renewing our Season tickets for this year. I am currently undecided as to whether to go ahead with renewing my Dad's ticket. My Dad is a senior citizen & I attend all matches with him, within the scheme there is no option to purchase a Season ticket for a senior citizen & this year in particular as our county has dropped to Division 3 an adult Season ticket purchase for him does not make economical sense. The reasons I purchased for both of us initially were because we attend all the matches & it saves the hassle of constantly having to purchase tickets for league matches & also it made no sense that I had a Season ticket & he didn't come Championship time as the reality is we may not have been able to sit together at the 1st match (included in the Season ticket price).
Surely we are not the only people in this situation? From attending League matches regularly it is evident that many of the "die hard" supporters are from the older generation. I have emailed the Season Ticket Scheme in relation to this but I was not overly happy with the reply, as it indicated that there is already the incentive of a significant discount re. the price therefore no further concessions & the advantage of being guaranteed tickets as long as your county stays in the Championship. While the latter is of huge significance to supporters from Dublin, Mayo & Kerry, it is of no real relevance to myself given my county's poor Championship run in recent years.
My point is I think it is unfair of the GAA to neglect this category of supporter within the scheme & while it may not have been something they could have incorporated during the teething stages surely it has been around for long enough now for this to have been rectified?
Apologies for the lengthy post but as stated at the beginning I am genuinely interested to hear others opinions, views or experiences in relation to this.
I have never before bought a season ticket but am considering it this year.
However, other than the All ireland final ticket guarantee (depending on attendance), what is the benefit of the season ticket?
Personally, I don't think it makes any financial sense to buy it for any county other than the top 4-5.
The cost is €99 which equates to 7 league matches (pre-purchase price of €10) = €70, plus 1st championship match (say €20?)
plus saving of €5 off next 2 champion ship matches. That's €100.
So before the season ticket saves you any money your county has to play 7 league matches and more than 3 championship matches.
Obviously, for the likes of Kerry, Dublin, Mayo, Tyrone and Donegal it makes sense as these teams will expect to play more than 3 championship matches each year, but for most of the other counties it doensn't make sense.
As a Roscommon man I don't think I need to be worrying about All Ireland tickets anytime soon, so I don't see the benefit of the season ticket.
Am I missing something?
And for the teams in division 3/4 there is no incentive at all to purchase a season ticket. In fact, for teams like Waterford, leitrim etc, it is likely that the season ticket would be MORE expensive than buying tickets for each individual match.
I'd say I save €10 this year by having the ST. If I had missed 1 NFL game I wouldn't even have that so it's poor enough value now for most of us.
It is handy though as it saves having to go to the trouble of buying individual match tickets.
And sure we might make the Top 8 this year and get to play in the new "Super League".....

even though i think €10 is a massive bargain seeing as it cost €17 a game a few years back . are division 3 and 4 games charged at the same price?.
Apart from allireland tickets the case for Season tickets diminishes every year . even the club+ (caride maigheo tickets ) are not offering an offical garment this year as far as i can see. other years a gillet or rain jacket was thrown in to sweeten the deal.
so from an now you pay and extra €24 euro and save €49 euro less thats a €73 increase in anyone's language
Have we been conned by the lure of allireland tickets which is only going to help 4 teams anyway ?

I (and the wife and kids) have a Dublin one and I renewed. I agree completely that's its not a value for money decision. For me the only justification is the AI ticket but for that to be even relevant then your county would have too a realistic chance of getting there. In fairness sitting here looking ahead you'd say that Dublin have more than a 50:50 chance but you can't say that for many counties. I think that if you get your act together and look in time etc you'll always get tickets for other games. I think it makes sense for Mayo as well as while they mightn't be as strong a favorite to get back to the final you know that if they do then it is very hard to get AI tickets given their large support base.
they do throw the club final in and I usually go. Its easy for me to go though and would I travel up form the country for it - probably not !
Don't forget to renew your season tickets! November 30th is the deadline. Season tickets will be out in time for Christmas for anyone that renews or buys before the 30th.

Surely if you buy your ticket for £90 then you are entitled
To use it what ever way you want.
They would be better suited to fixing the scanners at gates
And updating the attendance correctly

Personally I think these emails are more aimed at any touts or potential touts considering abusing the scheme rather than the case of a lad who is unable to attend a game and passes it off to a friend/family member on the odd occasion.
Seemingly Armagh have the 6th biggest uptake on season tickets despite being a division 3 team and with lower entrance prices. It is highly unlikely that we will worry about having a 60% attendance record for All Ireland final tickets.
It has seemed over the last few years every effort is being made to make the season ticket less attractive. Add to that the fact that you can pay €200 and get the club+ version then not attend a match and still get an All Ireland ticket if your county gets there makes it appear that money is more important than loyal supporters.

I got it and while i can see what they are trying to do i can't see how they'll enforce it. They are pretty much saying that you can do the swap but not outside the ground. I'd like to see that stand up under scrutiny.
regarding seats themselves - i have no complaints. great seats all last year including upper deck half way line seats for the final.
You should be able to let a friend use your Season ticket. I was unable to travel to Sligo for family reasons last week,I didn't pass my season ticket on,but what harm would it have done?
Last year, season ticket holders weren't allowed into the covered stand for the Cavan V Armagh Championship game. Also weren't Season ticket holders allocated prime seats in the lower Cusack in Croke Park in the first few years of the scheme?

Whatever about section 301, is Row VV not about perfect as far as rows back goes, or is that affected by the overhang? Can never understand people getting excited when they get the likes of Sec 306, Row E. You can hardly see a thing the opposite end of the pitch. Horrible view. They'll be getting soaked Sunday also

While you might get soaked anytime I have been in sec 305/306 rows A to F I thought it was a great view being able to see both ends and the opposite side of the pitch perfectly!! Although I'm 6' 1 and don't wear glasses so maybe that makes a difference! the

I should hope so! Jez it's only a All Ireland Quarter final! Anyway you'll be able to pick better seats for to view the Mayo/Ros game when all the Galway and Kerry crowd head off after their game is over!
I'd say the Galways will hang around to see their two favourite teams play.
Was reading that the tickets for the final aren't necessarily in the traditional season ticket seats. Where have you Mayo wans been placed for finals? Btw this is all theoretical and in no way a belief that we are already in the final of course! ::)
Just think it's a bit of a kick in the stones if for the final you get shafted.

The good news is that if ye beat the Dubs and Kerry beat Mayo there will be a plethora of Season tickets seats available that would be taken up by Dublin and Mayo who have the Largest amount. Last year I got 309 for the final and 301 for the replayed final right under the hill. Enjoyed the tirade of abuse that was dished down to us from the Boys in Blue up high. God did that bunch not like us and let us know rightly after the final whistle. They were more interested in abusing leaving Mayo fans than enjoying their moment of glory with the team or maybe that was what they considered their moment of glory?

I would take that for any game to be honest. Good to know. Was afraid it was upper tier in the corner or something.

I was on the hill and got no abuse whatsoever from the Dubs as we were leaving, a couple of "hard luck" handshakes was all

Ah, not trying to paint (although it probably sounds like it) all Dubs as described above. There just was a bunch spitting vitriolic abuse down on us as we left our seats. Was in the Nally stand in 2013 and I found the dubs there spot on!
Mayo Season ticket Holders got their AI Final tickets today! From people I have been talking to there has been a mixture of some great tickets to ordinary to the obscure! One of my mates got a ticket for section 405. Did not know a section existed? Got 308 myself!

The 400's are back behind the 300 sections, up where the concourse runs around the back of the stand. We're in 307 A.
405 is the wheelchair section behind 305, obviously central but youd be hoping for a handpassing game as the concrete ceiling is low over you
301 here
