Form Guide

Foxrock Cabinteely
Affluent, leafy and home to many of the country's top movers and shakers for over a century, Foxrock has a greater variety of house-styles behind its tall hedgerows than any other Dublin suburb. Side by side on the same road are gracious Edwardian mansions, post-war bungalows, Art Deco homes and big solid family houses built in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. They blend curiously well because of the large well-planted gardens attached to most Foxrock properties. Big gardens, often well over an acre, are a special feature of Old Foxrock and add to the rural feel of the area. The old part is west of the dual-carriageway, around the village centre at the junction of Brighton Road and Westminster Road. At the traffic lights here you will see more top-of-the-range cars than anywhere else in Dublin. Because everyone wants a Foxrock address, the boundaries are difficult to define without offending people living on the periphery.

Cabinteely (Cabán tSíle in Irish, meaning "Sheila's Cabin") is an Irish village in the suburbs of South Dublin, in the administrative county of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown and in the Dáil constituency of Dún Laoghaire. Once a rural village in County Dublin, it has in the past 20-30 years become a suburb of the greater Dublin area and is becoming an increasingly popular residential area with several new apartment and housing developments. Cabinteely village and the surrounding area boast a wide range of local shops, services & other amenities, including churches, parks, schools and a shopping centre.

The median property value in Cabinteely is 396,000.

Donaghmoyne
At Peter Griffin's Costcutter Shop
When we go that way we have to stop
To drop in and say "Hello"
And have a "sup of tae below"

You'll find hot birds there, so tenderly cooked,
If you want more than one, it may have to be booked,
There's rashers and sausages on display
Hot currys and salads on a tray

You can get phone credit at the till,
When you stop to pay your shopping bill.
So when the friendly craic runs out,
You can text your friends from morn till night.

A friendly place, without a doubt,
And they'll even help,
Take your shopping OUT.........

You feel that 60 secs will kill Rhode.

imtommygunn

They're making too hard work of getting scores. I could see vincents pulling away but hope i'm wrong.

Zulu

You'd think St. Vincents will go on to win now but Connolly is the only redeeming feature for Vincents who are extremely defensive when Rhode have the ball. Neither team keeping many players up front but Vincents the bigger culprits. Both teams trying manfully to play the game to be fair but full forwards practically non-existent.

muppet

Must say I liked the Tommy Conroy interview where he clearly isn't fluent, but does his best as Gaeilge and then just switches to English when necessary. Maith thú!

Enjoyable day out in Portlaoise yesterday. Vinnies ran out comfortable winners in the end but Rhode missing the peno was the turning point and I don't really think they believed they could win it. Connolly had a couple of pieces of genius but the thing that impressed me about them was their work rate and attitude all over the park. Best on the day for me were Burke, Carthy and Varley but the Vins management gave the man of the match award to Savage. Ger said it was an accidental trip for the peno!!

The best I ever seen him play, then again county and club football is very different.
