When you really have a look at it,  its really crazy,  possibly 10 months training with 11 or 12 league games played in that period of time and then a storm of games at the end of the year.  At least the reserve Championship should be played during the Summer months. The U21 Competition will at least have an added value this summer.

It will be some finish to the year in Oct/Nov/Dec

Complete Senior Championship
Complete Reserve Championship
1/4 of the League Games
League Semi Final & Final

Time to call a halt to club football training to at least May.  ;D

I noticed Ardbo released their new 2016 Mgt of Brendan Hurl and Paul Rouse on social media.  I wonder where the fella Kelly has went to?  I suppose there will be big things epected from Ardbo this year again.  Any other news on any further appointments.  Has Errigal & Coalisland been sorted.

Glen Maghera a prime example of minors transition - Several Ulster Minor Championships but can't make that crucial transition.

Not sure who wins Armagh Minor Club Championships over the last 10 years, is it always Cross?

You can sure make a correlation between minor and senior but sometimes it can be over stated.  Moortown has done extremely well in the last couple of years at minor level and I'm sure they will also have high hopes in the next 4 years to win a Div 1 Championship title.

Wonder why the Moy opted for new management in 2015,  I thought after seeing them on a few occassions in 2014 that the fella O'Neill was doing a reasonable job with the Moy post Rouse & Kelly era.  Strange why they got rid of them.  Heard that Rouse & Kelly was for the Coalisland job.  Not sure who the big appointments will be within the other clubs but I would reasonably think fellas such as Rouse, Mickey Donnelly, Ronan McGuckin, Strain will be snapped up by the highest bidders.

You have to hand it to both Clonoe and Carmen,  both knocked out of the championship in May and now sitting in a League Final.  It really does reflect the drive that these players have.  Kildress is a similar boat - out of the championship at 1st round stage and still in the division one play off in November.

Funny enough I have never heard a negative comment regarding Gavin Devlin either directly or indirectly from any present squad member.  I would assume he has his attributes and brings a bit of 'edge' to the back room team.

I think it is completely ridiculous that Mickey Harte & Co hasn't been ratified by Tyrone County Board.  Mickey has started a process of building a new team and it would be my thinking that he should be granted a further 2 years at the helm.  Madness it is.  McAleer and Rushe I would assume don't win multi million pound projects because they sponsor Tyrone GAA Team.  Their winning of Projects are based on their Price Scoring , their Quality Scoring and finally their past Experience Scoring.  Sponsoring a Tyrone senior team or Mickey Harte not speaking to RTE would have zero influence on winning projects nationally or internationally.  I hope Tyrone CB do the correct thing and appoint Mickey Harte and don't follow the mistakes of other counties. Football is at the heart of matters, not RTE and not sponsors.  The last thing we need is a media frenzy of how we conduct our internal affairs.

Massive blow for the County,  he probably has become one of our best full back's, really took on the challenge and made that Number 3 Jersey his own.  Sad.  Though remember guys that this is not the first time this has happened and I dont think its a reflection of the management nor the regime.  Hub Hughes left for Australia in 2005 as well as Brian McGuigan.  I also think Mulligan went for a stint during the 'big years'.  Its something that unfortunately happens.  Those are only the 3 most high profile players during the 'big' years, I'm nearly sure other fringe players went as well.  I certainly wouldnt blame Mickey & Co.  After Sundays performance by Armagh I am of the thinking that Tyrone might be the only team that will/did put it up to Donegal.  I dont think any team in Ireland (Dublin, Kerry, Cork or Monaghan) could have went to Ballybofey in May can come out of it with their 'reputation' still intact,  never mind a win!!

From the game on Friday night I think Omagh has come on alot since they met Dromore in last years championship.  Both teams play a completely different brand of football.  I enjoyed watching Omagh on Friday night, they defend well and their attacking play is very much structured with their runs and they keep alot of width to their game.  The only negative I have is their shot selection.  They do have a tendency to shot from ridiculous angles.  I have also seen them in 1 league game this year,  weather conditions more or less perfect and again I had to question their shot selection.  A tad more patience and a little more thought and they could improve that side of their game immensely.  Dromore on the other hand are now a hardened Championship team,  their direct running and ability to break down defences with late attacking runs particularly from their mid field and half backs is almost perfect.  There is no doubt Dromore has been strengthened with McCarron, McCusker and a more match fit Niall Sludden, they will have improved alot from their last championship game with Omagh.  Omagh has the added addition of Clarke and I think the experience that players such as Meyler, A Grugan and C McLaughlin has gained over the last number of month is invaluable.  Winning a senior championship breeds confidence in a team and in the management,  this will undoubtedly be something different from Omagh since them and Dromore last met.  Its the makings of a great game.  Its a close one to call though I think Omagh will come out on top,  would have liked to have seen both teams being better tested in their 1st round,  neither Ardbo or Carmen put it up to either team to be truthful, both being poor opposition.  Coalisland and to a lesser extent Trillick and Killyclogher gained a lot more from their victories than Dromore or Omagh did.
