Have been waiting to see when they're here. How strong is that rumour?
Spot all the lads in their late 40s 👀

Early 40s Tony. Relax Yourself FFS!

We've been following them around for the last few years and have had a superb experience at each show. Each one different, different opening song, different set list every night. Would love to do Dublin but the prices of accommodation are scandalous. Would be as cheap to go to Madison Square and stay in NYC so I've lumped my luck in for MSG, Wrigley, Seattle, and Montana. If I get 2 I'll be happy.

All the other rumors were right - and it was just confirmed today after the release of the new single. First Irish show since 2010

June 22nd Morely Park
June 25 Manchester
June 29 Spurs Stadium

Game was won/lost on the blocked extra point. Chip shot that would have ended the game 20-19, most probably.

She told you that her Dad was loaded?

Golly, great thread - but the missing years 91-94 are going to lose some showcasing!

Song 2 - A most unfortunate success from a band that was significantly better than that effort!

Why are they offering different prices?

Folks - the parents are looking to sharpen up the budget a little bit and are interested in this EE internet as opposed to the BT they currently have. 49quid vs 27quid. 24 month contract with EE and they have a statement that the prices will go up every year in March by an amount equal to CPI (about 3.9%)

Any experience or red flags with the EE group? Would use it for the odd bit of streaming, general wifi around the house for the phones and maybe paying the bills online. No gaming or downloading needed.

The Premier League is going to be poorer without him, even though he's been a bit prickly this last year or two. Huge loss to Anfield, they need to be wise with their next appointment to build on what he did for them.

Quote from: thewobbler on January 20, 2024, 11:02:33 AMREM don't deserve this thread.

Anodyne, dull, instantly forgettable. Remove their entire catalogue from the annals of music and nothing changes.

Can I +1 this twice.
Monotone. Boring.

They kickstarted an entire generation of Alternative Rock. It could be argued they were the biggest band in the world for most of a decade in the radio chart era, had the biggest record contract (at the time), could sell out any stadium (and frequently did), wrote some absolute bangers. Nirvana burned bright and burned out. Pixies, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, maybe all more enjoyable listens with bigger block buster albums - but none of them (maybe PJ with their longevity) were as big as REM in their prime - in the Alternative space. It took Oasis to over take them (this is my opinion).
