Just wondering.  How badly does rugby cut up the Croke playing surface?  How does if affect hurling in particular?  How well is it repaired?

Id imagine the turf at croke will be prefect for the hurling on 17th. Cant take to long to sort out and the goal mouth areas wont be affected.

I'd noticed that yesterday too. Don't remember seeing the turf looking as bad after previous rugby games at Croke Park before. Still, as youngfella says, still three weeks before the All-Ireland Club Finals.

The pitch will be repaired & manicured to perfection come club finals day I would think, I thought the ground looked fantastic once again & I often wonder how the D4 rugby & soccer brigade are going to cope with having to go back to a fairly average size stadium when Landsdowne road is finished. To me it's a step backwards for two professional organisations.
