No linesmen at Rossa/Cargin game either McDermott reffed it well mostly and had his own umpires but it's a disgrace in a championship fixture not having linesmen in no other county would that happen maybe if games were staggered and not all at same time county would have more officials.

It's very hard to see Cargin being beaten. Creggan seem to have dropped a level and Portglenone while improving are probably a bit off Cargin's level.

Should Cargin not be looking beyond Antrim by this stage. They've have a few runs in Ulster now and they should be pushing on.

Seems lads on here are just content with winning Antrim and having the bragging rights in a local Antrim context.

Why should they have the book thrown at them as a matter of interest? You think Fintona club condone this or will stick up for the perpetrator? Should they have security at under 16 games or what? You can't control what a nutter does.

First thing that needs to happen, no matter who is in charge, is that Tyrone coaches shouldn't be double jobbing with clubs. Tyrone at times this year didn't look sharp, looked jaded. Energy comes from coaching, if coaches burnt out due to clubs then it affects players. 100% focus needs to be on county, players are asked to remove themselves from clubs during county season so why is it acceptable for coaches not to do the same?

There is probably a transition period coming up, it was a scatty enough league and the facts are Tyrone played 5 championship matches this year and won only one.

People got giddy over beating a Donegal squad who were in disarray this year, Saturday was a hammering and could have been more than 12 points.

That result today will only strengthen the club scene from next year. Will be alot of men not wanting to play for Tyrone

They do well to stay in D1, fair play to them though,  didn't see them winning the league this year,  they can enjoy the celebrations. When was the last time they where in D1?

D1 tight at the bottom, St Galls in bother? When was the last  time they where out of the top.division?

Today's Down Vs Laois result was a bit of a freak.  People reading too much into it.  A terrible terrible day at the office got Laois, they aren't near as bad as they showed today.

2 tiers in the football I think is best,  no need for a third tier

Good game that advert for the Tailteann Cup.  It definitely is the right way for the GAA to go with this "secondary" competition as it gives a platform for these players to get to croke Park. Things like that encourages the youth within the county

Why do a lot of the Belfast clubs not enter teams in the U19 competition?.  Think there are only 5 entered.  The likes of LD, St Johns, St Galls dont have a team entered, big senior clubs.  What is the reason for it for us who wouldnt be clued in?

A new competition and a new age grouping is set to commence with an under 19 football league to get up and running tonight 8th May.A total of 15 clubs have entered the competition and the leagues will consist of two divisions. A total of seven teams are placed in the first division with eight in number involved in the second

I'd like to hear the thoughts of southtyronegael.

Are all the clubs in Belfast funding their own facilities or are they getting council money, GAA money or just rich members putting loads in? Just asking as I was at Lamh Dhearg on Monday and Davitts tonight and the facilities are outstanding. Obviously quite a few other clubs in Belfast with excellent facilities too.

I could be wrong but a lot of Belfast clubs I believe have their own pretty successful social clubs which generates healthy revenues

Antrim started at Start of March,  they are 3 league games in already,  playing league matches at 10am on Sunday mornings but then the county board there doesn't really care about the football, all about the hurling.

Armagh start this week AFAIK
Down 14th April for senior league,  their junior leagues about 2 weeks earlier, think something similar for Fermanagh.
Think the ulster leagues are near completion which probably means a few more counties will be kicking into action soon.

Tyrone seems to be a lot later than most.  Guts of 5 / 6 months training before league starts......Scunder ye if your a player.
