Apart from the GAA, and even sports. what sort of hobbies do yous have...anyone in to anything weird or interesting (not sexual related)?

I'm in to movies/tv and video games as you'd get from my posts, but also enjoy sailing (which I don't get to do very much anymore) and ten pin bowling (no sniggering!).  Would love to learn more about photography too...
Which one of you bitches wants to dance?

Where do you sail? Camlough Lake?

I'm into cinema, theatre, gigs, reading and of course the odd competition. Also enjoy foreign travel. Spend too much time watching tv and go to Englaand or Scotland for soccer on average every two months. Occasionally visit Hearty's Folk Cottage near Crossmaglen..as you well know ;D

Would like to get into photography myself but couldn't justify the outlay for the gear in case I face it up. The auld boy has all the gear and I know his cameras and lenses are over a grand. Bit rich for my tastes.

This thread has made me think about the things I USED to do that I should probably should take up again, such as squash, badminton and knitting (yeah laugh if you want!)

Outside of gaa, horse racing would probably be my main interest and I love going to concerts/live music.

Orior

Golf (18 handicap)
Jogging (used to be a runner)
Cycling (20 or 30 mile of a Sunday)
Local History (meeting once a month)
Surfing for corn (I like looking at pictures of corn, especially those with big long stalks and cute well formed heads)
Watching Dog the Bounty Hunter on TV (Never view anything else ever)
Cover me in chocolate and feed me to the lesbians

Are movies, tv etc. hobbies? I watch tv and films but I wouldn't consider them a hobby. What's the difference? Is the gaaboard a hobby? Or an obsession?

I would think so, it's an activity.

I spend A LOT of time watching dvds (films and tv) - I've over 300 films on dvds, dozens of whole series of tv shows on dvds and that's not considering all I've downloaded. I'd consider it one of my hobbies.

I enjoy cooking, drinking while cooking, playing soccer, playing guitar, drinking while playing guitar, reading the odd book, racketball, and a spot of poker and golf to round it up.

Interesting topic...

The common denominator with men seems to be football, women and beer. I'd not be much different in that regard either...

I would like to travel more but mainly I socialise quite a lot, watch films and I'd be a bit of a fitness freak too.

When you stop playing the football you find a lot of free time you never knew you had. Used to be study then football and now I don't know what to do with the evenings!
