Regularly.
The Kerry's still claim Darby fouled Kennelly.
Meanwhile Dublin's narrow defeats were always referee inspired.
The difference is they went on to win titles while the gurnners blame refs! It's so fecking stupid! Get over it, improve and win... the best teams generally win
Anything I post is not the view of the County Board!! Nobody died in the making of this post ;-)

Has any other referee in the modern game gotten booted off the referees panel like Reilly got booted after his performance in 2014?

Martin Sludden, who similarly had fans coming onto the pitch after trying to assault him.

It's as much about politics as anything, Conor Lane is the worst and most biased referee about today but he's getting All Ireland finals and everything. His brother happens to be the Cork County Board chairman from what I gather.

Reilly isn't a great ref but his performance that day is no worse than the likes of Deegan, Eddie Kinsella, Joe McQuillan, Paudie Hughes, Ciaran Brannagan, Marty Duffy or Conor Lane have served up in that time. Mayo fans seem to have a persecution complex where they believe they're the only county to have ever come out of the wrong side of a bad refereeing performance.

There wasn't much cribbing from them when Joe McQuillan got them out of jail against Fermanagh last year.

In fairness I have never read a line in an article from any of the Mayo players mention Cormac Reilly. They have never mentioned anything about what happened in Limerick. Most of it is brushed over in interviews. If anything they hold themselves responsible for the loss.

Fans are fans and will blame who ever they can think of for a loss. A Referee decision(s), Player fecking up, Manager fecking up, the weather, etc
