at least keep it up to date, Wijnaldum was injured and didn't play, which is why Son was able to waltz past Milner for the second goal

Liverpool were a joy to watch today )

Worst defence I have ever seen in the PL by a top 17 team.

Basic defending seems beyond this team.  Basics like keeping goalside seem beyond the likes of Lovren.  This is largely Rodger's back 4 and keeper.  Klopp hasn't been able to improve what he's inherited through coaching, nor has he been able to correct it in the transfer market either.  He needs to do one or t'either very shortly or it will cost him his job.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Signing VVD would go a long way to shoring that shite up, that said, a world class keeper is a necessity and by all accounts they have a couple of youngsters that are ready to emerge, they should blood them at this stage because they cannot be any worse than the turds currently playing at the back for them.

Unless VVD is Roy of the Rovers then it's unlikely he'll solve the problem! There's plenty of EFL teams with a better back 4 and keeper than Liverpool at present.

They had the opportunity to ditch Mignolet and instead awarded him a ridiculous contract when the dogs in the street knew he was a liability.

Spurs haven't even been that good. 4 mistakes 4 goals.

So perhaps Maradona was your unlucky mascot?  Just like when you invited Pele to Anfield to watch the United party?? ;D ;D

While Lovren and Mignolet were exposed, can and Henderson and indeed Milner were also complicit.  Keita will make a significant difference, but happy to hand any of this 5 a free transfer. I'd rather have the kids play than 4 of them (Milner the exception). Wijnaldum is often overlooked but he puts in more hard yards than can and JH.
Klavan sadly not the answer either.

Time to promote Danny Ward. He couldn't be any worse than Mings or Karius.
Also what is the story with Andy Roberston?  The one game he played he was excellent and he has hardly made the match day squad since.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

I agree with it on both points LL. From the little I have seen of the both of them, danny ward could well be the bets keeper at the club and robertson certainly looks better than moreno.

The weekend was a pointed example of why you don't get carried away over drubbing an outfit like Maribor.

Maribor have things back on track, 1-0 winners over the weekend.

Would agree with this.  While the backline is obviously not good enough, there is very little cover from midfield. Can and Henderson don't offer much.  That back 4 would need somebody of the quality of Kante or Matic in front of them.

Gary Neville made a good point yesterday in saying that these players continue to get picked despite continual mistakes.  It's actually hard to believe that 3 out of that back 5 yesterday were about in Rodgers' time, and were heavily criticised then.  This still hasn't been fixed 3 years later under Klopp and is a pretty poor indictment of him imo.  He's now got a major problem on his hands that has festered for 3 years.
