In the wake of jockstrapgate this seasons major phenomenon is that most managers when they win, in the post match interview launch a scathing attack on the sunday game staff or wider media and thank them for giving them the motivation that otherwise may have been absent from their display.  It frankly is now a little embarassing, when a team makes it through to an all ireland final and the managers first words are along the lines of "stick that one up yer hole Spillane etc.. thanks we wouldnt have done it without ye... ye bollix." What other sport really plays on it as much?  Imagine Benitez looking square into the camers and shouting to the viewers at home "Oi Lineaker, Up yours ye shithead.  that was for you"  I suppose my point is it really needs to be trimmed back, managers need to stop doing pitchside unless they are professional about what they are saying.  Moran last years was totally cringeworthy after the quarter and semi final wins, the only time he kept his dignity was in defeat in the final.  Is this a case of RTE trying to make a monkey out of our management by thrusting the mikes in their favour.  Is this a case of the management being extra sensitive and really picking at straws to get motivational material or are RTE currently parading a number of bollixes who havent a good word to say about Gaelic Games.
