The Claw

Yea unreal finish to that game. Cowboys were fairly impressive against Cleveland I thought even though Browns' defence is fairly putrid. Only saw highlights of Dolphins v Jets but it looked like Favre was up to his old tricks again. Man i love opening weekend!

heganboy

looks like brady is gone for the season
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

thejuice

well thats my fantasy team fucked. First Osi and now Brady.

Still a good opening day, how about them Falcons, Michael Turner!, Matt Ryan didnt do bad for a rookie
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Bears beating Colts on the road, the biggest shock of them all
"When it's too tough for them, it's just right for us"

With Saint Louis getting waxed by Philly, The Cardinals are top of the NFC West. Blow it up ref!

magpie seanie

Go on da Bears! Great start and looks like the mean D might be back on track. No offensive turnovers which shows again that though limited, Orton is a better option than the fumbler Grossman.

Carmen Stateside

Bears looked good last night but i thought the big performance of the day was from Buffalo!  If Brady is indeed gone for the year then Buffalo could be serious players in the AFC east.
Eagles werent bad either!
Looking forward to packers, vikings tonight!Peterson is great to watch.

thejuice

Pats are in the process of getting Chris Simms to fill Tom Brady's boots. What about Daunte Culpepper??

He's officially done for the season

QuoteFOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is out for the season with a left knee injury that will require surgery.

The 2007 NFL Most Valuable Player will be placed on injured reserve, the Patriots said Monday, one day after his knee was injured in the first quarter of a 17-10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

A statement issued before coach Bill Belichick's news conference said Brady will have surgery, ending his 128-game starting streak.

Brady left Sunday's game against Kansas City after he was hit by Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard. Brady was not available for comment, but reports circulated around the league that he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament.

"We feel badly for Tom about the injury," Belichick said. "You hate to see anyone go down. No one has worked harder or done more for this team than Tom has."
