Motion 4 was to delete the rule regarding restrictions on Minor players.

Motion 4
That Rule 6.21 Section (c) T.O. 2015 be deleted.
Coiste an Chontae

It was defeated so from this season on you can't play a County minor for Club until Tyrone are out of the All Ireland series.

I think it will go before congress again, to overturn it. Is there any sanction though if a county minor was to play for the club?

The vote about no outside managers in clubs was close enough. Defeated 36 - 44. That would have caused a few raised eyebrows had it been passed.

How would you have policed that?

It wouldn't have made much difference. The manager would simply register and pay their membership with the Club they manage rather than their Home club.

Gortin proposed managers should fall under the same rules as players, so they would have had to request a transfer to the club they wanted to manage.

GAA have circulated a 85 page document to all counties with 18 proposals at the start of the week.

Eighteen!!! :o
At least there's plenty to discuss anyway and they are all real proposals. Who was it said only journalists and Gaaboarders were talking about changing AI senior Inter County??? ;D
Hard to see an agreed proposal going to Congress 2016.

Here http://www.filedropper.com/allirelandseniorfootballchampionshipproposals2017andbeyond

They want responses with the view to forwarding a proposal to congress.

Since Harte has took over he has had the pick of 6 Ulster Minor winning teams (3 All Ireland Winning teams) along with an All Ireland runner up.  That means there is a lot of talent that has been lost and not brought through or developed by Harte.

Or not been developed at U21 level. Reality is only a small numbers of minors make it at senior level.

Harte has been interviewed now and said that mccann regrets his actions.
laughing today in irish news
philip Jordan commenting on it
now he would know about playacting in croke park ::)

Just read his column and no mention whatsoever of the Marsden incident. Huge levels of hypocrisy from Jordan.
Im not sure you can compare the McCann & Jordan incidents at all
Yes you can
Both  feigned injury and ensured a player was sent off
on my book they are similiar

Are you sure of that? I'd be fairy certain the reason Darren Hughes was lined was for the rugby tackle on Colm Cavanagh that preceded.

I see in today's Gaelic Life that Kevin Cassidy has addressed the claims that he abused Peter Harte in 2011 about Michaela's death. Some posters have accused him of hiding away from the current debate on 'sledging' but he has written a good column today.

I'll read that with interest!....got a link to the article?

Got plenty in my time but it wasn't something that bothered me. The worst that got me was Brolly chatting about University and my course and the craic down in Belfast then bang he was gone and the ball over the bar and he resumed the conversation! Wee bollix!!

I don't understand the outrage about the sledging. Who gives a f**k really and as for the article about Cavanagh saying some lads might take it bad? Man the f**k up lads sticks and stones!

The men who were easily wound up with the sledging were generally not the sharpest tool in the box and more fool them for getting sent off because of it!

I can just imagine the conversation at home "yeah Ma I got sent off because some lad said he rode ya last night." "Oh I'm so proud Jimmy thanks so much for standing up for me!!"

Do me a favour!

All well good in saying that but when it becomes personal and deceased family members are being mentioned, lowest of the low.

I see the proposal for the seeded championship next year was defeated.
Personally i thought i was quite a good idea.
Im not sure what the major downside owuld have been?

Think this years Championship draw highlights the downside of the seeded championship. We wouldn't have seen first round games like Coalisland v Clonoe, Dromore v Ardboe, Errigal v Killyclogher and when you take into account either Greencastle/Eglish/Dungannon/Trillick could end up in the Semi-Final.

Still the manager for now, another meeting to be called, needs a 2/3 majority to overturn that and open the position up for nominations.

is there a limit to the amount of subs you can tog out and the amount of 'management team' you can have on the field for a league game?

23.It is the responsibility of the participating clubs to ensure that no more than the

maximum of 24 players and 6 officials (inclusive of Chairperson and Secretary) per

Club (30 total) to be permitted into the field during any competition organised by CCC

Penalty - £100 fine

I think this is only enforced at Championship games though.
