It'd be more fun to try and guess the inevitable un-retirements.

Aaron Kernan hopefully

Not a remote possibility given what he said in the RTE Park Life documentary on professionalism in the GAA a week or two back.
Basically he says as a self-employed family man there was no way he could go back playing intercounty.

Looks like Ger Brennan has called time on his inter county career. Great servant to the Dubs - I'll never forget his point against Mayo in 2013

Or his "tackle" on Declan O'Sullivan in 2011 which effectively won the All Ireland for Dublin.

Those rough Dublin bowsies. Was that 'tackle' anything like Anthony Maher's 'tackle' on Cluxton in 2013 or his 'tackle' on McCaffrey two weeks ago?

I heard he was running for FF in the General Election? Any truth to it?

I think his car crash interview on RTE during the marriage equality referendum put paid to his political ambitions.

Look you don't need to set up a new user name to 1, Show your ignorance and 2, to drive your agenda. This is the retirement thread for players that will retire this year, there is a Finances ruining the game thread that you may or may not set up.

We're discussing Ger Brennan and whether he'll run for the Dubs favorite party Fianna Fáil. I think Bertie is his hero.

these results will all change next year. Labour are virtually wiped out and FF and SF will divide the seats between them. There will be less independents as their selection was pretty much a protest vote but the people have seen they actually do very little once they get the seat.

That's great but I was talking about the Dublin football team, the team Ger Brennan just retired from, you ever hear of them? They love FF, why wouldn't they? FF bought them 3 All Ireland's.
